Hey peeps. How’s your holiday cards coming along? Today I’m using the Hero Arts Dala Horse for a beautiful and colorful card. Let’s take a look at the card.
I started by trimming down a piece of dove white cardstock to 4×4. Beginning with my yellow flower I stamped the image rotating the cardstock until I had a semi-wreath shape. Next I stamped the green leaves the same way and finished off with the red flowers. I set this aside and began working on my horse.
For my horse I wanted to pull in some blue. Using navy ink I stamped the horse and colored it in with Copic markers matching the inks I used for my background. I used the coordinating die to cut out the horse. Wanting to add just a touch of shine, I pulled out my crystal glaze and aded it to the horse’s saddle. I also added some shimmer pen to the horse.
Leaving the horse to dry, I returned to the background piece. Layering this colorful piece onto nautical paper helped to pull in more blue. For the embellishments I used Sunset Hero Hues Enamel Dots.
Popping up the horse in the center of my card panel added dimension to my card. This piece was added to a 4.25 x 4.25 card base. I love how pretty this card turned out. Make sure to grab your Hero Arts Dala Horse for your next card project. Thanks for stopping by today and I’ll see you back here soon.
