Hero Arts Monstera Stamp Set

July 17, 2022

Hey everyone. Have you seen the Hero Arts Monstera stamp set? OMG, I love it. First of all this is one plant I’m truly drawn to. The large leaves and beautiful way it grows, has me wanting to plant them everywhere around my home. Let me show you how I used the stamp set.

I knew immediately this card needed to be clean and simple. By stamping the image in opposite corners of my panel using Hero Arts Intensi-fied Black ink it allowed me to color one with my Copic markers and leave the one white.

Next I used one of the small hearts from the Hero Arts Nesting Heart Infinity dies to have a place to hold a sentiment. By using the green Copic makers to color my heart, the color palette stayed simple.

I used a black and white gelly roll pen to add faux stitching around the heart as well as around the card panel.

Finishing off the card, I placed this panel on a Hero Arts Dove White side folding card. An easy clean and simple card. I really love how this card turned out. If you want to see more cards made using Hero Arts products, you can click here to find them.

Stamptember With Hero Arts

September 18, 2021

Hey everyone. Today is the day! We are celebrating the Simon Says Stamp Stamptember with Hero Arts. The stamp set is perfect for celebrating the best things in life. And add in sweets and desserts for the win!

My card features a few of the yummy sweets from this set. To start off my card I stamped the party time image onto Hero Arts Dove White cardstock. Next I made a circle mask with my Hero Arts Infinity Circles die to cover up the stamped image. Then I  sponged my background with Hero Arts Lemon Drop Reactive Ink and stamped the Hero Arts Birthday Balloons Bold Print in the same reactive ink.

Next it was time color up a few sweet treats with my Copic markers and fuzzy cut them out. Trimmed down my colorful panel, I adhered it to a Hero Arts Side Fold card. To add some dimension to my card, I popped up each of the colored treats with foam tape around the sentiment.

The finishing piece of the card, I used a white gelly roll pen to add some white sprinkles to my donut and cupcake.  I think this is such a sweet celebration card for any occassion.

The Stamptember Hero Arts and Simon Says Stamp collaboration stamp is now available in the Simon Says Stamp store. Remember, once this stamp set sells out it won’t be coming back in stock.  Have a great day everyone and I’ll see you back here soon.

Create A Focal Point For Your Cards Tutorial

August 10, 2021

Hey everyone.  I have a quick tutorial for you sharing how to create a focal point for your cards. Sometimes when we make a card, we want one area to shine more than the other. Keeping your panel back and white with just a pop of color helps to achieve this look.

Hero Arts Better Together

Keeping most of the images white it allowed me to draw your eye into the center focal point on the card.

Simple coloring also made the card come together rather quickly.

Here is the tutorial to create a focal point on your card. You can watch it here or over on my Youtube channel mzdanajoy.

I’ve linked all the products below for your shopping ease. I hope you enjoy the video and if you have any questions, please let them in the comment and I’ll be glad to answer them for you.  Have a great day and I’ll see you back here soon.

Hero Arts Bunch Of Balloons Birthday Card

June 23, 2021

Hey everyone. I’m back sharing some quick and easy birthday cards using the Hero Arts Bunch Of Balloons Stamp set and the coordinating Bunch Of Balloons Fancy Cut.  Having extra birthday cards on hand are a must in my house. I always seem to need one when I least expect it.

The Bunch of Balloons stamp set pairs perfectly with the Hero Arts Birthday Balloons Bold Print background stamp. I created two cards in different color palettes using just my Copic markers as my coloring medium. Keeping the background just black and white or gray and white lets the balloons really pop!

The Copics I used from this card were R08, YR04, Y35, B04, N2 and N3. The colored cardsock is Hero Arts Cherry.

Hero Arts Bunch of Balloons

For this card the following Copics were used R20, R43, BG11, BG34, Coo and Co1. The color cardstock is Hero Arts Paradise.

For the next few days I will share more inspiration for quick and easy birthday cards right here on the blog. All products when posted will be available in the Hero Arts shop via the links below until they are out of stock.  Have a great day everyone and I’ll see you back here tomorrow.

Valentine’s Day Card Series 2021 Day 2

February 2, 2021

Hey everyone. We are back with Day 2 of the Valentine’s Day Card Series. Remember Days 1, 3 and 5 will have a tutorial on Youtube. I’m happy to continue this series. Today’s card is a simple one.

Colorado Craft Company came out with this adorable Lots Of Love stamp set. I immediately feel in love with it. These adorable little bunnies remind me of my hubby and I.  I’m always wanting to be snuggled up to him.  LOL I know I’m a lot to deal with.

Valentine's Day Card Series 2021 Day 2

I kept my coloring very monochromatic with shades of brown. After I finished coloring the image, I made a mask to cover the bunnies so I could lightly sponge hazelnut ink of the image.

Not wanting to have a load of color on this card, I pulled out a beautiful coral color paper from the Scrapbook.com Floral Smooth Cardstock paper pad. Trimming down this paper and stamping little hearts over it kept the design clean. The hearts and inks are from Concord and 9th.

I layered this paper onto Chestnut card stock and placed it on a white card base. I popped up the colored image with foam tape and added some white dots down the brown panel. This card was so easy to make and I love how it came out.  All products used are listed below. Affiliate links used at no cost to you.

Thanks for stopping by today. I’ll be back tomorrow with another card and a tutorial.  Have a great day everyone.
