Hey everyone. I’m back with you today sharing a tutorial using the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil machine. I must admit, I haven’t had the chance to play with the Spellbinders glimmer hot foil and all it’s wonders yet. However I felt the holiday card series was a perfect time to add some shine to my holiday cards.
So here is the card we will be making today. It’s a super clean and simple card and one you can easily mass produce. I need to add a disclosure to this video as I used my glimmer plate incorrectly while trying out the foil. The foil ended up adhering to my plate and I had to use a sand eraser to remove the foil. By doing this I did get some scratch markers on the plate so my tree is a little bit distressed. 😉
Let’s get into the tutorial. I hope you enjoy the process I’m sharing with you and I will be using this machine more often in future videos. It’s a really great machine to have on hand and I would highly recommend you get one.
As I stated in the video, you can definitely use this die with other colors of foils and card stock. These kinds are cards are super easy to pull together by making an assembly line with your supplies. You can see from the tutorial I was able to create two beautiful cards in a short amount of time. Give it a try, I’m sure you will be happy with your results.
I also created another card for some additional inspiration. This card was super easy to create. I used the Spellbinders Love Comes Down die cut. I die cut this image three times with 100lb Neenah Solar White card stock adhering them together for added weight. Using glitter red card stock as my base, I adhered this beautiful image onto the glitter paper. Neenah Solar White card stock was the base for my card today.
Look how beautiful this card is! I love the simplicity of this card and will totally be making more of these.
All supplies used for the video are listed below. Have fun creating and don’t forget to comment. We will be back tomorrow with another guest designer and more inspiration for your holiday cards. Have a great day everyone and see you back here tomorrow.
