Save The Crafty Youtuber Video Hop

March 25, 2020

Hey everyone.  I know I have been missing in action but I’m back for the Save The Crafty Youtuber Video Hop.  There are so many amazing people who share their creativeness on Youtube.  I’m so thrilled to participate again this year in the Save The Crafty YouTuber Video hop.  Let’s get started.

For my card today I used products from Waffle Flower and Heffy Doodle.  This was a super easy card to pull together and can be changed up to so many color combinations.  I kept mine to very spring like colors since it’s pretty warm here in Florida.

Now let me give you a heads up.  I had to record this video THREE times.  My computer decided not to play nicely with me and since the Apple stores are closed during this time, I had to record it multiple times to get it to export correctly.  After five plus hours on the phone with Apple, I switched to creating the video on my phone and I was successful with an upload. (A lot of wine was involved to keep my nerves down). 😂

Now onto my card and tutorial.  If you have been following me on Instagram, you know I’m a champagne lover especially during the holidays.  So this year I turned my love of my favorite champagne into a card.

I absolutely love how this card came out.  The gold on the green looks stunning.  Keeping the card clean and simple really works for this design.

Had to share the bottle label with the card.  If you love champagne let me know which kind you like.  I would love to try something new.

Brea Reese Alcohol Inks – How Awesome Are These Inks

April 29, 2019

Hey peeps.  The Brea Reese alcohol inks are amazing!!  I had a chance to play with a few of them thanks to the lovely ladies over at Momenta. There are a few brands on the market when it comes to alcohol inks however these flow so smoothly and easily to me.  I feel like a mad scientist when I’m working with these inks.  The colors blend and flow on yupo paper, waterproof paper and waterproof panels with ease.

My color combo was created using ocean green, lake blue and rose.  I love this color combination for achieving ocean colors in depths of blue all the way to purple.  I added some gold to this color combo as well to give it some shimmer.  The gold is not part of the Brea Reese alcohol inks. To keep the color moving swiftly across my paper I also used blending solution from Brea Reese.

To create a soft look, I made sure to use a heat tool however I kept the air blowing quickly on the paper and didn’t leave it in one place for too long.  Note: if you use more blending solution, you will get a lighter color palette. Adding in drops of gold and keeping the ink flowing gave me great veins in this piece. With just one panel I was able to get two cards made.

I decided to keep both cards very clean and simple. I heat embossed some card stock with gold rush embossing powder from Ink On 3.  The beautiful hello die cut is from Pink and Main and looks gorgeous in gold. Gold foil paper was a perfect addition to this card and worked nicely with the gold in the alcohol ink. A little bit of gold splatter and gold floss finished off these cards.

Breakfast Fun Anyone? Pink and Main Has You Bacon For More!

February 19, 2019

Hey peeps.  Breakfast fun anyone? I’m sneak peeking the Pink and Main Breakfast Fun stamps and coordinating dies. The stamp set and coordinating dies will be available tomorrow in the Pink and Main store. If you are a breakfast lover ( I do love me a good egg and bacon sandwich) you are going to love these cute images and sentiments.

I colored up each of the images with Copic makers and made myself some mini cards to sneak into my hubby’s car before he heads out to work.  You know a little something to make him smile on his way to work. You can get all the details on how I put this card together over on the Pink and Main Blog.  I’m sharing additional photos as well.  So head on over and check them out. These products will be available in the Pink and Main shop on February 20th, 2019.

Have a great day everyone and I’ll see you back here soon.

Pink And Main Sneak Peek – Life Is A Circus

January 17, 2019

Hey peeps.  I’m sharing a sneak peek with you today.  Pink and Main’s release will be on Sunday Jan 20 and I can’t wait for you to see this release.  It’s absolutely FULL of new products to include stamps, paper, gems, etc.  So let me show you the card I made with the Life Is A Circus  stamps and coordinating Life Is A Circus die cuts.

First let me say these little circus animals are just too precious.  I colored each image with Copic markers and die cut them out with the coordinating dies.  Next I pulled out the Pink and Main Spring Fling paper pad and cut out a strip of paper to add to the bottom of a white card base.  To keep the animals from not getting lost on the white card base, I added a strip of navy card stock for them to play on.  I used the silver glossy dots and colored them with Copic markers so they matched my animals stunt pieces.  Lastly I rounded the top two corners of my card base and my card was complete.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I’m at Creativation this year and I hope to be able to post some of the excitement going on there.  Head on over to the Pink and Main blog to check out what other projects are featured today.

Morning everyone. It's another day for valentine c Morning everyone. It's another day for valentine cards. In today's tutorial I made a trio of valentine cards from one background. This was so easy and so much fun to make. Where are my Distress Oxide Spray lovers?

With three colors of @tim_holtz Distress Oxide Sprays these cards were created. I don't have all the sprays and are "collecting" them little by little. The fear of using these sprays have been unleashed. 😂😂😂 After watching more and more videos from Tim, my nervousness of "messing it up" has been replaced by "oh that's so pretty".

By using just two die cuts from products from the January 2023 release from @heroarts

The link for the tutorial is in the bio and I hope I inspire you to start creating your Valentine's Day Cards.
