Welcome everyone to the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero August 2021 blog hop. I’m happy you are here today. You should have arrived here from Channin’s blog. The My Monthly Hero Kit is now available in the Hero Arts store.
4″ x 6″ Clear Stamp Set
Coordinating Fancy Dies
5.4″ Square Cling Stamp
5.25″ x 6.5″ Stencil
3 Liquid Watercolors (Pink, Indigo, Dandelion
6 5.5″ x 8.5″ Sheets Watercolor Paper
For today’s card I am sharing a tutorial on how to create several shades of brown using just two Hero Arts liquid watercolors in Cocoa and ArtPrint Brown. I stamped the image from the kit in Hero Arts Embossing Ink and heat set it with Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder.
You can watch the tutorial here or on my YouTube channel.
Now, lets get into the bonus card I have as well. This card was made using the Rainbow Window Fancy Die. This die is an add-on for the month of August. I love this die! It’s so pretty to use as a cover for a card.
I die cut the image from Hero Arts Dove White cardstock. I fulled the rainbows with Copic markers and added a touch of shimmer with a shimmer pen. Setting this panel aside I stamped a sentiment from the Hero Arts Better Together stamp set which is also an add-on for this month.
This card panel was screaming to be a shaker card. I added Hero Arts Acetate behind the rainbow, sprinkled sequins onto the blue panel and sealed up the card. I layered the shaker piece onto Hero Arts Mustard cardstock and a Dove White Side Folded Card.
To finish off the card, I added a few enamel dots in colors that coordinated with the rainbow colors. All products are listed below for your shopping ease.
We will give away one $50 gift card, drawn from the comments left across the hop. Enter by Sunday, August 8th at 11:59pm Pacific, and the winner will be announced on the Hero Arts blog the following week. Next on the hop is Daniel. I’ve also included the entire list of participants in case you get lost along the way.

Dear Dana –
Always a joy to see what you have created! Love the rainbow card and the Floral Color Wheel card is pretty too in that earth tones monochromatic style. Just a heads-up: I clicked on the SSS links for the last several items you have listed and they all led to the “Oh no!” page at SSS. You might want to double-check that.
