Hero Arts – Monster Mash

September 21, 2020

Hey everyone.  I’m super excited to share the Hero Arts – Monster Mash kit with you today.  Oh my word, this Monster Mash!!! Get your kiddos ready to color because they are going to love this kit. The main kit will includes:

• Monster Ink ‘n’ Stamp Tub (18 stamps)
• Monster Eyes Woodblock Stamp
• Neon Green Ink Cube
• 5 Superwashable Marker Pens
• 10 Paper Monster Die Cuts
• 12 6″ x 9″ Monster Scene Sheets (4 designs, 3 sheets of each)
• Self-Adhesive Googly Eyes

But wait there are add ons to this kit (squeal)

CG824 Monster Bedroom Bold Prints
CM486 Party Monsters
CM487 Bedroom Monsters

Now let me share how adorable this kit is.  For my card, I trimmed down on of the panels to fit a standard A2 (4.25×5.50) card base. On another panel I colored a portion of the image with my Copic Markers. Sort of like a spot light.

Hero Arts Monster Mash

From the colored panel I used a circle infinity die to cut out the piece that I colored.  This would be the only thing colored on my card. Such a cheery little monster party.

Hero Arts Monster Mash

I adhered this panel to my card panel. Now it was time to add just a little bit of shadowing around the other images.  Using a W2 and W1 Copic marker I went around all the other images on the card panel.  This keeps the card from looking flat.

Hero Arts Monster Mash

Your little monsters are going to love getting creative with this playful and educational kit packed with fun and games! Combine stamps, inks, pens and paper to create playfully scary monster scenes in endless combinations only limited by your imagination.

This kit is ideal for ages 6-12 and up (and of course adults who still feel like kids)! Crafting is a great way to teach creative play, get to know colors and color properties, inspire imagination, and much more. Non-toxic and child-safe Inks are not ideal for kids 5 and younger as they can stain clothing and may require multiple washes if they get on skin.

Pre-order the Kids Monster Kit today! Once sold out, the kit will be gone. The kit and any items ordered with the kit will ship together starting October 9, at the same time as our upcoming October My Monthly Hero Kit.

Make sure to hop along for inspiration using this kit. We will give away one $50 gift card, drawn from the comments left across the hop. Enter by Sunday, September 27th at 11:59pm pacific, and the winner will be announced on the Hero Arts blog the following week.

Stamptember Hero Arts and Simon Says Stamp

September 19, 2020

Hey everyone.  Today the Stamptember Hero Arts and Simon Says Stamp collaboration stamp is available.  I’m so super excited to share this stamp set with you. Let’s take a look at my card.

Stamptember Hero Arts and Simon Says Stamp

This stamp is called Park Scene and I would love to be able to stroll a park during the fall.  When my son lived in New York City, we walked Central Park during the early fall and it was sooo beautiful.  The changing color of the leaves, the cool breeze…oh my heart was happy.

Stamptember Hero Arts and Simon Says Stamp

I kept my card very simple.  I stamped and colored the large tree three times and fussy cut them out. For the background I sponged on a hill in Green Hills and the sky in Soft Sky inks. Next I stamped the little biker in Nest ink as if she was riding along the grass.

Stamptember Hero Arts and Simon Says Stamp

This panel was adhered to a dove card panel. I glued two of the trees directly to the background and popped up the center tree.  For added interest, I pulled out my gold metallic ink and stylus to make gold dots within the tree and a border around the card. The sentiment was also stamped in Nest Ink. That completed my card for today.

You can head on over to the Simon Says Stamp store and Hero Arts to pick up your stamp set.  Remember once this Stamptember Hero Arts and Simon Says Stamp collaboration stamp is sold out it’s gone forever!  Have a great day everyone.

Hero Arts – Pumpkin Patch

September 14, 2020

Hey everyone.  Who’s ready for fall and pumpkin patch season?  Well here in Florida I don’t see pumpkin patch excitement.  Maybe because we have the beach all year long. 😂 I just get excited if I can squeeze in a cute sweater during the year.

However, Hero Arts has my pumpkin patch fix.  This beautiful bold print background stamp is STUNNING on fall cards. Pull in the pumpkin card stock and gold embossing powder from Hero Arts and viola, you have a gorgeous card.

Hero Arts Pumpkin Patch

Now let’s step up the pumpkin patch happiness.  Why not die cut through your panel with a beautiful pumpkin window die?  I mean it’s pumpkin season right?

Hero Ats Pumpkin Patch

To assemble my card, I die cut the window again in gold card stock and adhered it to the front of the pumpkin patch panel. This would allow me to crate a inlay for my card. I popped this panel up on a white card base with foam tape and inserted the die cut pieces back in place. I also stamped the pumpkin patch on green card stock, heat embossed in gold and inlayed that piece as well.

Hero Arts Pumpkin Patch

Finishing off the card with a gold embossed sentiment from the My Monthly Hero September 2020 kit and a few sequins and my card was complete. I see this bold pumpkin patch print being a winner for all your fall cards. Ombre colors or dark brown and gold?  YESSS, give me all the fall colors with this one.

All products are linked below for your shopping pleasure.  And thank you for clicking those links to support my crafting adventures and blog. Grab your Hero Arts Pumpkin Patch bold print stamp now and start creating your fall cards. I’ll see you back here soon. Stay safe and have a great day everyone.

My Monthly Hero Kit – September 2020

September 8, 2020

Hey everyone.  It’s release day for the My Monthly Hero kit September 2020. This kit is full of fall inspiration and some sweet layering stamps. Fall is right around the corner (well at least for some of us) and this kit will have you feeling the cooler weather and sipping some warm beverages.

My Monthly Hero Kit

For my card today, my main focal point is the My Monthly Hero card kit. The layering stamps in this set are perfect. You can create a beautiful pumpkin patch with use three stamps. Also you can create a corn field in the background of your pumpkin patch. I used moss, grape juice, pumpkin pie, just rust and soft sky inks for my card. The My Monthly Hero Kit September 2020 is one you will fall in love with.

I wanted to frame out my image so I pulled out my Wood Frame Infinity dies and Sand cardstock to create the frame.  Looks like a cute photo don’t you think?

My Monthly Hero Countdown

Morning everyone. It's another day for valentine c Morning everyone. It's another day for valentine cards. In today's tutorial I made a trio of valentine cards from one background. This was so easy and so much fun to make. Where are my Distress Oxide Spray lovers?

With three colors of @tim_holtz Distress Oxide Sprays these cards were created. I don't have all the sprays and are "collecting" them little by little. The fear of using these sprays have been unleashed. 😂😂😂 After watching more and more videos from Tim, my nervousness of "messing it up" has been replaced by "oh that's so pretty".

By using just two die cuts from products from the January 2023 release from @heroarts

The link for the tutorial is in the bio and I hope I inspire you to start creating your Valentine's Day Cards.
