Happy Autumn Forest Card

September 24, 2020

Hey everyone.  Welcome back to my blog. I’m sharing a Happy Autumn Forest card with you today.  Autumn cards to me are cozy cards.  Ones that make you want to snuggle up with a cup of hot chocolate and relax.

For my card today I pulled out my Hero Arts Happy Autumn Forest stamp set. This adorable set has this cute little cabin and a wonderful mountain sunset scene with additional elements to use on your card.

Hero Arts Happy Autumn Forest

I colored the cabin with a few Copic Markers and used the coordinating dies to cut it out.  My card needed to have some awesome clouds so I used the Color Layering Moonlit Night stamp. I first stamped it in versa mark on nautical card stock and then stamped the second layer in versa mark but heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

Hero Arts Happy Autumn Forest

Feeling like autumn this year will have early snow, I hand trimmed out a snowbank for my little cabin to sit on and stamped the many thanks sentiment from the Happy Autumn Forest set.  A perfect addition to my card.

This panel was the placed on a pumpkin card stock base and adhered to a dove card base.  I love how this card turned out.  Very simple yet striking. Would love to see what you create with this stamp set.  Make sure to tag Hero Arts when you do.  Hope you enjoyed my Happy Autumn Forest card. Want more inspiration using Hero Arts products. Hero Arts – Autumn Bouquet

September 22, 2020

It’s the first day of Autumn and I couldn’t help but share a card using the Hero Arts Autumn Bouquet dies.  This Autumn Bouquet couldn’t be more perfect. It’s sooo easy to use and boy does it create beautiful cards.

Hero Arts Autumn Bouquet

Creating my card today was super easy.  I pulled out my fall colored card stock from Hero Arts in the colors of Chestnut, Pumpkin, Meadow and Mustard to die cut my pieces of my bouquet. For added color and shine, I used my Metallic Inks in Bronze, Green and Gold. What a way to spice up your die cuts.

Hero Arts Autumn Bouquet

Keeping my card very clean and simple, I stamped the Knitting Pattern bold print stamp on my pumpkin card stock with embossing ink. I did not using any embossing powder here. This way it looks like a watermark.  A simple sentiment from the Extra Messages from the My Monthly Hero September 2020 was stamped on the Chestnut card stock and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Hero Arts Autumn Bouquet

To assemble my card, I placed the bouquet towards the top of the card and my sentiment panel below it. For some added interest, I used my white gelli roll pen to add some faux stitches around the entire card. And of course, a few color coordinated sequins to complete the card.

A side note, I layered the die cuts three times for added dimension. This way the dies look thicker and are more substantial on my card. You could skip this but I would totally recommend that you don’t. I also made sure to use thicker card stock.  This way you don’t have to have too many layers to glue together.

All products are listed below for your shopping pleasure. I appreciate you clicking the affiliate links as it supports my little blog and crafting happiness.  Have a great day everyone and I’ll see you back here soon.

But wait there are add ons to this kit (squeal)

CG824 Monster Bedroom Bold Prints
CM486 Party Monsters
CM487 Bedroom Monsters

Now let me share how adorable this kit is.  For my card, I trimmed down on of the panels to fit a standard A2 (4.25×5.50) card base. On another panel I colored a portion of the image with my Copic Markers. Sort of like a spot light.

Hero Arts Monster Mash

From the colored panel I used a circle infinity die to cut out the piece that I colored.  This would be the only thing colored on my card. Such a cheery little monster party.

Hero Arts Monster Mash

I adhered this panel to my card panel. Now it was time to add just a little bit of shadowing around the other images.  Using a W2 and W1 Copic marker I went around all the other images on the card panel.  This keeps the card from looking flat.

Hero Arts Monster Mash

Your little monsters are going to love getting creative with this playful and educational kit packed with fun and games! Combine stamps, inks, pens and paper to create playfully scary monster scenes in endless combinations only limited by your imagination.

This kit is ideal for ages 6-12 and up (and of course adults who still feel like kids)! Stamptember Hero Arts and Simon Says Stamp

September 19, 2020

Hey everyone.  Today the Stamptember Hero Arts and Simon Says Stamp collaboration stamp is available.  I’m so super excited to share this stamp set with you. Let’s take a look at my card.

Stamptember Hero Arts and Simon Says Stamp

This stamp is called Park Scene and I would love to be able to stroll a park during the fall.  When my son lived in New York City, we walked Central Park during the early fall and it was sooo beautiful.  The changing color of the leaves, the cool breeze…oh my heart was happy.

Stamptember Hero Arts and Simon Says Stamp

I kept my card very simple.  I stamped and colored the large tree three times and fussy cut them out. For the background I sponged on a hill in Green Hills and the sky in Soft Sky inks. Next I stamped the little biker in Nest ink as if she was riding along the grass.

Stamptember Hero Arts and Simon Says Stamp

This panel was adhered to a dove card panel. I glued two of the trees directly to the background and popped up the center tree.  For added interest, I pulled out my gold metallic ink and stylus to make gold dots within the tree and a border around the card. The sentiment was also stamped in Nest Ink. That completed my card for today.

You can head on over to the Simon Says Stamp store and Hero Arts to pick up your stamp set.  Remember once this Stamptember Hero Arts and Simon Says Stamp collaboration stamp is sold out it’s gone forever!  Have a great day everyone.

Let's mix things up on our next Valentine's Day Ca Let's mix things up on our next Valentine's Day Cards. I'm using two products I don't think I've ever used together before. Hot foil plates and stencils for the win! I have two very different color palettes today that aren't your traditional red and pink cards.

I do have a favorite out of these two cards. Can you guess which one? Check out the tutorial to see just how easy these cards were to put together. (link in bio)

Morning everyone. It's another day for valentine c Morning everyone. It's another day for valentine cards. In today's tutorial I made a trio of valentine cards from one background. This was so easy and so much fun to make. Where are my Distress Oxide Spray lovers?

With three colors of @tim_holtz Distress Oxide Sprays these cards were created. I don't have all the sprays and are "collecting" them little by little. The fear of using these sprays have been unleashed. 😂😂😂 After watching more and more videos from Tim, my nervousness of "messing it up" has been replaced by "oh that's so pretty".

By using just two die cuts from products from the January 2023 release from @heroarts

The link for the tutorial is in the bio and I hope I inspire you to start creating your Valentine's Day Cards.

The January 2023 release for @ginakdesigns is now The January 2023 release for @ginakdesigns is now available. The Terrific Textures stamp designed by @melaniemuenchinger was so much fun to play with.

I stamped the image several times in different color inks from Gina K. Designs. The colors are Passionate Pink, Wild Dandelion, Key Lime, Lucky Clover and Ocean Mist. Next I filled in the area using my W-G 7 @olomarker to change the paper from white to this pretty warm gray color.

While I was stamping the images, I made sure to leave a section blank where I could place my Happy Birthday sentiment. This was such a great card to great.
