For my card using this month’s kit, red and gold was my go to color combination. I think red and gold cards are so striking. Making cards is a simple palette really allows for the design to come to life. Mixing up my mediums too by using Hero Arts Gold Wax and Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder.
By pulling just a few pieces from the kit, I was able to create this stunning card. Remember I said that keeping a simple color palette makes a card really shine.
I have a tutorial for you using the kit to show you just how easy this card came together.
You can watch the video here or over on my Youtube channel mzdanajoy. Affiliate inks have been used at no cost to you.
Now for a card using the Sprinkled Dots stencil from the add-ons for this month. For this card, I started by taping off three sections on the card. To add color to this piece, I used Pan Pastels in Permanent Red Shade, Rich Gold and Permanent Green Extra Dark. Once I removed the tape, I used the Hero Arts Sprinkled Dots stencil with Hero Arts Gold and White Paste. This created a lovely background.
Pulling in a earthly element, I decided to place this panel on a Hero Arts Sand Side Folding Card. For the sentiment, I pulled out the Very Merry Christmas Cover Plate. By using just the letter from the die, I was able to get a large sentiment for my card. The sentiment has some weight to it as I stacked each letter three times finishing off with the top letter being in Hero Arts White Glitter Paper.
This was truly an easy and beautiful card to put together.
Next on the hop is Daniel. Make sure to leave comments along the way for your chance to win a $50 gift certificate to Hero Arts. Have a great week everyone.
