STAMPtember is here…STAMPtember is here! I LOVE this time of year. Simon Says Stamp Stamptember is the most exciting release that I wait for each year. Full of sooo many beautiful products and collaborations. This year I have the opportunity to join in with the design team and share card inspiration with you.
Let’s start with my first card. For this card I used the Deco Square stencil with an assortment of brown inks from Simon Says Stamp. To add a touch of sparkle and shine, I covered a few areas with gold Glitz Glitter Gel.
While the card panel dried, I die cut three Engraved Feathers from the Stamptember release. I die cut one from dark chocolate brown cardstock, ink blended another one and gold foiled the third. Using three feathers on this card really made it stunning focal point. I paired the panel with a layer of dark chocolate cardstock, a gold embossed setntiment from the Pumpkin Spice Season and placed it on a white card base. Adding just a touch of twine and this card was complete.
For my second card, it was time to work on holiday cards. I love this new stamp set called Slimline Scene Builder-Christmas. I believe this might be my very first slimline card. Crazy, I know. LOL Using several shades of distress oxide ink, I sponged the background and stamped it onto white card stock. For added shimmer, I stamped the image again with versa mark and heat set it with clear sparkle embossing powder.
Next, I stamped out the tree image onto vellum and heat set it with clear embossing powder. I then stamped on some ornaments in lipstick red ink and also heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. The hill was also stamped in versa mark and heat embossed in clear embossing powder.
Now it was time to assemble the card. But before I do that, I splattered the background with white gloss spray. I popped up the Christmas panel onto a lipstick red piece of cardstock and placed it on a white card base. For dimension I used foam tape to lift the hill off the background panel and glued the fuzzy cut tree right above it. A simple sentiment stamped on vellum was a perfect addition. Faux stitches and a few clear gems colored red finished off this card.
Ready for one more card? This one I really loved making as it’s full of fall inspiration. I used the Pumpkin Spice Season stamp set. Coloring the image with Copic markers to match the pattern paper kept my card simple. I trimmed down the image to a sweet square and layered it onto Audrey blue card stock. A few simple sentiments from this set and my card was complete.
You could easily mass produce this card. Plus I’m a coffee loving babe and this stamps set is right up my alley.
