Simon Says Stamp – Let’s Connect Release

Today I’m sharing some products from the Simon Says Stamp- Let’s Connect release.  This release is full of crafty happiness.  Let’s take a look at my cards for today.

My first card is featuring the new Detail Petals Plate from Simon Says Stamp.  This cover plate is wonderful for creating simple backgrounds for your cards.  I also used the new Congrats  Word Mix 2 stamp set. The colors of ink I used on this stamp are Simon Says Stamp duckling, catkin and cloudy Sky.

To create the petals on my card, I simply ran another piece of paper with the plate through my die cutting machine.  I fussy cut some of the leaves and sponged on the coordinating ink color I used on the sentiment.

For the center of my flowers I used beautiful gems fro Little Lucy’s clear iridescent mix.

For my next card I used the Detail Floral Ring also from Simon Says Stamp.  This ring is perfect for a focal point on your card.  I die cut it from a piece an alcohol ink background I had already in my stash. Alcohol ink backgrounds are a super easy way to spice up a card.  For added dimension I popped up my floral ring and stamped a simple sentiment from the Congrats Word Mix 2 stamp set in the center.

 

Adding just a few sequins completed this card.
