In The Heart Blog Hop

March 20, 2026

Welcome to In The Heart blog hop with Simon Says Stamp. I’m so glad you are joining us today. Let’s get right into the cards.

For my first card I used the new Cute Duckling die cut along with the EZ Strips XL Friendship. These sentiments also have a coordinating EZ XL Strips Rectangle die plate. You will want to definitely grabs this as a set. I also added the pretty Floral Butterfly Tulip embossing folder background for this card.

I mean how cute is this little duckling?!? By adding just a touch of white pigment ink over the tulips it really makes them stand out in the background.

For my next card for the In The Heart release blog hop, I created a card using the new Folk lLowers Background and coordinating stencil. The Folk Flowers also has a coordinating embossing folder. Yup, add to cart please!

The ink colors I used are Butter, Sunbeam, Cantalope, Cheeky, Seafoam, Bubblegum, Carnation, Pearfection and Orchid. The looks so pretty on this card front.

And that laughable sentiment is from the new Getting Old stamp set. The inside of the card says “you get road rage walking behind slow people at the grocery store. LOL You need this stamp set!!

Next on the hop is Rosemary. I’ve also attached the entire list of participants. I hope you are inspired by what you see today and you have a chance to grab some of your favorites! We’re giving away a $25 coupon to every stop on the hop from your blog comment section. DieCember® Release Blog Hop Day 2

December 6, 2025

Happy Diecember everyone. I’m thrilled to be a part of the DieCember Release Blog Hop – Day 2. I’m sure you are getting really inspired by all the great products coming out for this release. Here are a few cards I made using products from the Diecember release.

My first card is featuring the new Fawn Surprise Embossing Folder. This embossing folder makes such a pretty winter scene card. I colored the embossing folder elements with my Olo markers. Remember if you are using markers for your embossing folder, use light pressure so the ink doesn’t bleed outside of the image you are coloring.

By pairing this embossing folder with a simple sentiment from the Making Spirits Bright stamp set, this card was complete.

For my second card I used several products from the release. First I started off by die cutting the Stitching Holly and Berries dies in green and red cardstock. Afterwards I stitched the leaves with gold metallic thread and added some shading to the holly and berries with coordinating ink colors.

Next I die cut out the Eyelet Layer Frames. To add some texture to this piece, I splatted it with red and gold shimmer watercolor paint. This gives the background just a bit of shimmer.

The sentiment on this card is from the new Little Winter Banners. Each banner was die cut from gold metallic cardstock which really pulls everything together.

With this being a blog hop there is TONS of inspiration for you. Also Simon Says Stamp is giving away a $25 coupon to every stop on the hop from your blog comment section. Winners will be posted on the Simon Says Stamp blog on Wednesday the 10th of December. But wait there is more.

The not-yet-released Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Bundled Snowman die is automatically added to your cart that contains any purchase from our DieCember® 2025 collection! This gift with purchase will expire 12/7 at 11:59 pm EST or while supplies last.

Simon Says Stamp And Everything Nice Release

November 6, 2025

Hello everyone. The Simon Says Stamp And Everything Nice release is now available. You might have seen this card over on my Instagram. I used the Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Poinsettia Frame embossing folder with the new Triangle Whirl Trees die cuts.

I started with Simon Says Stamp Schoolhouse Red A2 Fold Scored Cards. After I cut the card in half I ran one panel through my die cutting machine with the new Beautiful Poinsettia Frame embossing folder. Next I ink blended Simon Says Stamp Cranberry Ink to add to the outer design to add some depth the the poinsettias. For added sparkle, I added gold splatter with shimmery gold watercolor.

While the panel was drying, I die cut the Triangle Whirl Trees from the matte gold cardstock. By stacking the trees one behind the other, they fit nicely in the center of my design.

To pull some of the red to the trees, I used Pinkfresh Studio Clear Drops in Scarlet. Oh this really makes the trees look so nice.

I decided to keep this card sentiment free as I wanted the design to stand on it’s own. Remember you don’t always have to use a sentiment on a card. Let the design speak for itself. Hope you enjoyed stopping by today. I’ll see you back here soon with more inspiration. Now go shop the Simon Says Stamp And Everything Nice release. Have fun!

Jenn Shurkus Inspiration Party!

October 1, 2025

Welcome to the Jenn Shurkus Inspiration Party!!  Jenn is celebrating 20 YEARS of blogging and I am so happy she started. Jenn’s been such a inspiration to the craft community and beyond. Her journey, generous heart and love for crafting makes the world a better place.

For the inspiration party, Jenn asked us to pick a card that we loved and recreate it our own way. Challenge was accepted happily! All things Jenn makes sparks inspiration but this card had my heart. The colors and design of this card is awesome. I love the rainbow colors of the background and the adorable top hat snowmen. You can find the card here on Jenn’s blog.

For my card I took inspiration from the snowmen and the colors. I started with stenciling my background with the Concord and 9th Merry Mix stencil pack. I used the snowflake stencil. For my colors I used Simon Says Stamp Punch, Melon, Butter, Celery, Seafoam and Lilac Pawsitively inks.

After I finished with the color, I went over the entire stencil with Gina K Designs Sparkle Gel Starlight. This gel is so pretty. While letting the background dry I started to work on my snowmen.

The Spellbinders Dancing Snowman (unfortunately no longer available) was the perfect size for my card. By only using the head of the snowman I was able to get all six on my card panel. By ink blending the scarves and earmuffs I was able to create color consistency with my card. These little snowmen are too cute.

This card needed a simple sentiment. The Concord and 9th Joyful stamp set was perfect. And for a finishing touch, I added a little bit of Tim Holtz Clear Rock Candy on the top of each brim of my hats.

Thanks Jenn for always inspiring this community with your beautiful cards, classes and techniques! Wishing you many, many more years of blogging and crafty.

STAMPTEMBER has begun!

September 2, 2025

Hey everyone. STAMPtember has begun! If you are like me, you’re pretty stoked right now. Let’s jump into the cards I made.

For my first cad, I used the new Mail Call die cut. There is a sweet little mailbox and envelope in this set. To make my coloring easy, I started with colored cardstock for the mailbox and added in some shading. The envelope was die cut out of white paper and then ink blended with red.

Next I used the new Postage Rectangle dies for the background. Frist die cutting it in white paper and ink blending a happy yellow around the edges. The sentiment is from the CZ Easy Strips You Got This stamp set.

Card number two I used the new Stitched Flowers embossing folder. This embossing folder is so pretty. For a bit of added color, I lightly ran a teal ink pad over the flowers. Next I pulled out that Postage Rectangle dies again and die cut the flowers out. For some added depth I layered this piece on top of dark brown cardstock. The sentiment is also from the CZ Easy Strips You Got This stamp set. Last I added teal enamel dots to the center of each flower.

To wrap things up, my last card is featuring the new Block Presents die cut! This die cut is so pretty and can be used in so many gift giving ways. I paired it with the Thread Plaid embossing folder and a little bit of gold splatter. And the sentiment is from the new Shiny Baubles stamp set.

So how did I do? Are you inspired? Let’s get into shopping happiness. When you spend $100 over at Simon Says Stamp, you will receive this adorable Gingerbread Joy stamp and die set.

Thanks for stopping by today and happy shopping!
