Holiday Card Series 2021 – Day 1 Gina K Designs

October 29, 2021

(Affiliate links are used at no cost to you)

Hey everyone. Welcome to the Holiday Card Series for 2021! I’m so thrilled to be doing this series again this year. I will be posting tutorials Monday-Wednesday and Friday. During the series this year I will be providing an Ink Combos Guide for color inspiration. The amazing Kristina Werner and I collaborated to bring this bonus to you for our holiday card series. There is a PDF you can download that contains all the colors used for my series. Ten color ink combos you can use for your holiday cards. There are inks from various companies so you can create with any brand you have in your crafty stash. You can find the Ink Combos Guide PDF in the sidebar of the blog. Look for this graphic or click below.

Today we are starting with Gina K. Designs. I adore Gina and featuring her products bring me so much happiness. Each tutorial I will share with you a project I will complete and additional cards for inspiration. This will hopefully show you the ways you can use the color ink combos. Let’s check out the first card.

The ink color combo today will work for a masculine or feminine holiday card. This color palette is so warm and rich. Colors of ink from Gina K. Designs are Honey Mustard, Kraft, Dark Sage and Slate. Adding a touch of Gina K Designs and Therm-O-Web White glitz glitter gel makes it looks like snow is resting on the bottom of each letter. The Gina K. Designs Peace Love and Joy Plate makes card creating super easy.

BONUS CARDS:

Here are two other ways I used the color ink combo. The first card is made with the Gina K. Designs Star Struck and Playful Penguins stamp set.

This card was made using the Gina K. Designs A Very Merry Christmas. A very stylish clean and simple card.

Okay everyone. Day 1 of the Holiday Card Series for 2021 is in the books. I will see you back here on Monday for more card inspiration. Have a wonderful weekend.

Hero Arts Holiday Catalog Release Blog Hop

August 18, 2021

(Affiliate links have been used at no cost to you)

Hello everyone and welcome to the Hero Arts Holiday Catalog Release Blog Hop. I’m so excited to share card inspiration using products from this catalog. There are so many new products I’m sure you are going to fall in love with. You should have arrived here from Channin’s blog. Let’s get into the cards I have to share with you.

My first card is featuring the Hero Arts Holly Berries Stamp Set and the Hero Arts Holly Berries Fancy die. I love the simplicity of the lines of this image and the presence of it on a card. It’s large enough to be the star of a card without having to do loads of coloring or adding many details to the card.

Hero Arts Holly Berries

For the second card I’m using the Hero Arts Holiday Ornaments and Hero Arts Holiday Ornaments Fancy Dies. These ornaments are absolutely gorgeous. I used Hero Arts Liquid Watercolors for my medium on this card however you can use Copic markers, color pencils or the Hero Arts Layering Ornaments Stencil.

Hero Arts Holiday Ornaments

My last card might just be my favorite. The Hero Arts Geometric Spiral Stencil is awesome! I LOVE a fabulous graphic stamp, die or stencil and this one fits the bill perfectly! Filling in the design with a white gelly roll pen steps up the look just a bit.

This die creates striking cards when paired with a festive yet simple background. The background on this card was made using the Winter Floral Mix. A quick sentiment and this card was complete.

Simon Says Stamp DieCember

My second card is featuring the large Be Kind die. Oh I love love love this die. I paired it with the Detail Petal Plate. Having stacked my sentiment a few times I added shimmer pen, an additional red heart and glossy accents to make it pop.

Simon Says Stamp Diecember

And for my last card I made a simple yet colorful card using the Hexagon Tile Wafers. I stuck to my tried and true color combo of aqua and red with a splash of white and gold.  A simple sentiment and this one was complete as well.

Hero Arts Rolling Hills

November 27, 2020

Hey everyone.  Today’ I’m sharing a card made with the Hero Arts Rolling Hills Window Die.  This die is incredible for quick and easy cards. Check out this soft and elegant holiday card.

I paired the Hero Arts Rolling Hills Window die with the Hero Arts Etched Winter Scene Bold Prints stamp. Stamping in image in soft pink ink for my base color then stamping again with embossing ink and sprinkling it with Hero Arts Sparkle Embossing Powder.  Oh MY that embossing powder is amazing with this ink color.

Hero Arts Rolling Hills

After heat setting the embossing powder I die cut the in Dove White cardstock. I layered this piece on top of embossed background with Hero Arts precision glue. For the sentiment I used the Merry Christmas from the Winter Woods Heroscape stamp set.

Hero Arts Rolling Hills

For added interest I added some glitter to the rolling hills of the die cut. Also added some sparkle gems for good measure.

Hero Arts Rolling Hills

Lastly this panel was adhered to a Soft Pink card panel and placed on a white card base.  I love the softness this card has.  To see move cards made using Hero Arts products click here.  Thanks for stopping by today.  See you back here soon.

Let's mix things up on our next Valentine's Day Ca Let's mix things up on our next Valentine's Day Cards. I'm using two products I don't think I've ever used together before. Hot foil plates and stencils for the win! I have two very different color palettes today that aren't your traditional red and pink cards.

I do have a favorite out of these two cards. Can you guess which one? Check out the tutorial to see just how easy these cards were to put together. (link in bio)

Morning everyone. It's another day for valentine c Morning everyone. It's another day for valentine cards. In today's tutorial I made a trio of valentine cards from one background. This was so easy and so much fun to make. Where are my Distress Oxide Spray lovers?

With three colors of @tim_holtz Distress Oxide Sprays these cards were created. I don't have all the sprays and are "collecting" them little by little. The fear of using these sprays have been unleashed. 😂😂😂 After watching more and more videos from Tim, my nervousness of "messing it up" has been replaced by "oh that's so pretty".

By using just two die cuts from products from the January 2023 release from @heroarts

The link for the tutorial is in the bio and I hope I inspire you to start creating your Valentine's Day Cards.

The January 2023 release for @ginakdesigns is now The January 2023 release for @ginakdesigns is now available. The Terrific Textures stamp designed by @melaniemuenchinger was so much fun to play with.

I stamped the image several times in different color inks from Gina K. Designs. The colors are Passionate Pink, Wild Dandelion, Key Lime, Lucky Clover and Ocean Mist. Next I filled in the area using my W-G 7 @olomarker to change the paper from white to this pretty warm gray color.

While I was stamping the images, I made sure to leave a section blank where I could place my Happy Birthday sentiment. This was such a great card to great.
