Holiday Card Series 2021 – Day 3 Altenew

November 3, 2021

(Affiliate links are used at no cost to you)

Welcome back everyone. Today is day 3 of the Holiday Card Series for 2021. Altenew products will be featured today and I can’t wait to share this ink combo with you. This one might be one of my favorites. I don’t normally use pinks and purples for my holiday cards however I love this non-traditional color palette. If you want to pick up the Ink Combos Guide, make sure to visit the sidebar of the blog t get your free company.

The card is so easy to make as all you need is ink and the stencil. You can change up the color palette or just use one color for a quick background.

With having such a busy background, make sure to keep your focal image simple. You don’t want the two designs competing with each other.

This card was made using the Altenew All Is Bright Stamp set. I love this stamp set for easy and beautiful cards.

Here’s a quick tutorial.  You can watch it here or over at my Youtube channel mzdanajoy.  I’ve used affiliate links for your convenience at no cost to you.

Thanks for stopping by today. I’ll see you back here on Friday for another Holiday Card Series tutorial.

Holiday Card Series 2021 – Day 2 My Monthly Hero November 2021

November 1, 2021

(Affiliate links are used at no cost to you)

Today is day 2 of the Holiday Card Series 2021 and Hero Arts is on deck today. I have so much to share with you so let’s get started. This Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Kit for November 2021 release is today and  if you want to make some ADORABLE cards you are going to love this kit. You should have arrived here from Channin’s blog.

November is here and the holiday season is upon us! With our November My Monthly Hero kit, we have everything you need to create adorable handmade tags and/or gift toppers for all of your Christmas gift-giving. The dies in this kit are equally great for cards, scrapbook pages and even felt ornaments! We’ve included a stamp set with patterns to decorate the tag pieces, and plenty of holiday-themed messages, too. To round out the kit, we’ve included card stock and glitter paper for die cutting your characters. White Puff Embossing Powder is fun for adding some dimensional texture, and our Lacquer Pen adds dimensional shine. And last but not least, there’s festive red & white twine for embellishing, or attaching your tags to gifts.

Here’s what’s included in the kit this month.

• 4″ x 6″ Clear Stamp Set
• 13 Coordinating Fancy Dies
• 10 Sheets of Snow Cardstock (5.5″ x 8.5″)
• 1 Sheet of White Glitter Paper (5.5″ x 8.5″)
• White Puff Embossing Powder (0.5 oz.)
• Lacquer Pen (0.5 oz.)
• Holiday Twine (1 yard)

Kit Value: $70
Kit Cost: $34.99

For my card today, I used the Santa from the kit with the Argyle Patten Bold Print stamp. This color palette is one of 10 that are included in the Ink Combos Guide.

This card is featuring the newly released Cozy Winter stamp set and coordinating Cozy Winter Frame Cuts. I loved making this scene card using this stamp set. I first colored the images and die cut them out using the coordinating dies. Deciding not to have the white outline around the images, I used a pair of scissors to cut directly to the black line on each image.

I created the flooring using my Copic makers to make it look like a wood floor. Using the Brick Bold Print, I lightly stamped a wall to sit my window on. This scene makes me think of a cozy cottage!

Here’s a quick tutorial.  You can watch it here or over at my Youtube channel mzdanajoy.  I’ve used affiliate links for your convenience at no cost to you.

Holiday Card Series 2021 – Day 1 Gina K Designs

October 29, 2021

(Affiliate links are used at no cost to you)

Hey everyone. Welcome to the Holiday Card Series for 2021! I’m so thrilled to be doing this series again this year. I will be posting tutorials Monday-Wednesday and Friday. During the series this year I will be providing an Ink Combos Guide for color inspiration. The amazing Kristina Werner and I collaborated to bring this bonus to you for our holiday card series. There is a PDF you can download that contains all the colors used for my series. Ten color ink combos you can use for your holiday cards. There are inks from various companies so you can create with any brand you have in your crafty stash. You can find the Ink Combos Guide PDF in the sidebar of the blog. Look for this graphic or click below.

Today we are starting with Gina K. Designs. I adore Gina and featuring her products bring me so much happiness. Each tutorial I will share with you a project I will complete and additional cards for inspiration. This will hopefully show you the ways you can use the color ink combos. Let’s check out the first card.

The ink color combo today will work for a masculine or feminine holiday card. This color palette is so warm and rich. Colors of ink from Gina K. Designs are Honey Mustard, Kraft, Dark Sage and Slate. Adding a touch of Gina K Designs and Therm-O-Web White glitz glitter gel makes it looks like snow is resting on the bottom of each letter. The Gina K. Designs Peace Love and Joy Plate makes card creating super easy.

BONUS CARDS:

Here are two other ways I used the color ink combo. The first card is made with the Gina K. Designs Star Struck and Playful Penguins stamp set.

This card was made using the Gina K. Designs A Very Merry Christmas. A very stylish clean and simple card.

Okay everyone. Day 1 of the Holiday Card Series for 2021 is in the books. I will see you back here on Monday for more card inspiration. Have a wonderful weekend.

Hero Arts Holiday Catalog Release Blog Hop

August 18, 2021

(Affiliate links have been used at no cost to you)

Hello everyone and welcome to the Hero Arts Holiday Catalog Release Blog Hop. I’m so excited to share card inspiration using products from this catalog. There are so many new products I’m sure you are going to fall in love with. You should have arrived here from Channin’s blog. Let’s get into the cards I have to share with you.

My first card is featuring the Hero Arts Holly Berries Stamp Set and the Hero Arts Holly Berries Fancy die. I love the simplicity of the lines of this image and the presence of it on a card. It’s large enough to be the star of a card without having to do loads of coloring or adding many details to the card.

For the second card I’m using the Hero Arts Holiday Ornaments and Hero Arts Holiday Ornaments Fancy Dies. These ornaments are absolutely gorgeous. I used Hero Arts Liquid Watercolors for my medium on this card however you can use Copic markers, color pencils or the Hero Arts Layering Ornaments Stencil.

My last card might just be my favorite. The Hero Arts Geometric Spiral Stencil is awesome! I LOVE a fabulous graphic stamp, die or stencil and this one fits the bill perfectly! Filling in the design with a white gelly roll pen steps up the look just a bit.
