Simon Says Stamp Handmade Holiday Release

November 10, 2021

Hey everyone. This morning I’m sharing a card using a new product from the Handmade Holiday Release from Simon Say Stamp. My card is featuring the Holly Branch Embossing Folder. WOW this embossing folder is stunning.

To create this gorgeous background I first spritzed a piece of white cardstock with Rangers Distress Mica Spray. Next I dried the cardstock with my heat tool until all the moisture was out of the paper. Pulling out my embossing folder, I placed the paper inside with the embossed side facing the paper and ran it through my die cutting machine.

Since I had not played with my Nuvo Mousse in a very long time, I decided to buff it over the embossed paper to give it an aged look. Oh the shine on this card is incredible in real life!

I used my R39 Copic marker to color over the berry and finished the card off with the Simon Says Stamp Large Joy die cut!

This was an incredibly easy card to make. You can use different colors of mica spray and the Nuvo mouse! Make sure to swing back by here at 1:00pm EST today for the next tutorial for the Holiday Card Series 2021. See ya then.

Holiday Card Series 2021 – Day 5 Pink Fresh Studio

November 8, 2021

(Affiliate links used at no cost to you)

Good afternoon everyone. Holiday Card Series 2021 Day 5 is here. Pink Fresh Studio is our featured products for today and I’m using a totally non-traditional color palette. If you missed day 1 and want to start through the series click here.

Let’s get into the card. The tutorial will show you how I used a stamp set that you normally would not consider to be a Christmas stamp. By pulling out those non-traditional stamps you can really make stunning just by having a cooler color palette. Mixing the Olive and Tidal Pond inks really makes the green leaves pop!

My second for inspiration using the same color palette really is a clean and simple card. Just a touch of greenery behind the sentiment and this card is complete.

You can watch the tutorial here on the blog or over on my Youtube channel.

Thanks for stopping by today and I will see you back here soon with more card making inspiration.

(Affiliate links are used at no cost to you)

Hey everyone. We are on day 4 of the Holiday Card Series 2021. Today I’m featuring products from MFT. The color palette is number 2 in the Ink Combos guide. I love this happy little color palette. The cards today were really quick and easy so I have two to show you in the tutorial.

First up is the rainbow “northern lights” sky! I mean come on, you know you want a rainbow sky! Both cards are featuring the Seasons Greetings Stamp set from MFT.

Holiday Card Series 2021 Day 4

The next card is using the My Favorite Things Confetti stencil. I love this stencil for bokeh effects on cards. Just a little bit of coloring with Copic markers and this card was another quick one to make.

You can watch the tutorial here or over on my page or you can view it on my Youtube channel.

Okay everyone. I’ll catch you back here on Monday for another holiday card series card. Have a great weekend.

Holiday Card Series 2021 – Day 3 Altenew

November 3, 2021

(Affiliate links are used at no cost to you)

Welcome back everyone. Today is day 3 of the Holiday Card Series for 2021. Altenew products will be featured today and I can’t wait to share this ink combo with you. This one might be one of my favorites. I don’t normally use pinks and purples for my holiday cards however I love this non-traditional color palette. If you want to pick up the Ink Combos Guide, make sure to visit the sidebar of the blog t get your free company.

The card is so easy to make as all you need is ink and the stencil. You can change up the color palette or just use one color for a quick background.

With having such a busy background, make sure to keep your focal image simple. You don’t want the two designs competing with each other.

This card was made using the Altenew All Is Bright Stamp set. I love this stamp set for easy and beautiful cards.

Here’s a quick tutorial.  You can watch it here or over at my Youtube channel mzdanajoy.  I’ve used affiliate links for your convenience at no cost to you.

Thanks for stopping by today. I’ll see you back here on Friday for another Holiday Card Series tutorial.

Holiday Card Series 2021 – Day 2 My Monthly Hero November 2021

November 1, 2021

(Affiliate links are used at no cost to you)

Today is day 2 of the Holiday Card Series 2021 and Hero Arts is on deck today. I have so much to share with you so let’s get started. This Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Kit for November 2021 release is today and  if you want to make some ADORABLE cards you are going to love this kit. You should have arrived here from Channin’s blog.

November is here and the holiday season is upon us! With our November My Monthly Hero kit, we have everything you need to create adorable handmade tags and/or gift toppers for all of your Christmas gift-giving. The dies in this kit are equally great for cards, scrapbook pages and even felt ornaments! We’ve included a stamp set with patterns to decorate the tag pieces, and plenty of holiday-themed messages, too. To round out the kit, we’ve included card stock and glitter paper for die cutting your characters. White Puff Embossing Powder is fun for adding some dimensional texture, and our Lacquer Pen adds dimensional shine. And last but not least, there’s festive red & white twine for embellishing, or attaching your tags to gifts.

Here’s what’s included in the kit this month.

• 4″ x 6″ Clear Stamp Set
• 13 Coordinating Fancy Dies
• 10 Sheets of Snow Cardstock (5.5″ x 8.5″)
• 1 Sheet of White Glitter Paper (5.5″ x 8.5″)
• White Puff Embossing Powder (0.5 oz.)
• Lacquer Pen (0.5 oz.)
• Holiday Twine (1 yard)

Kit Value: $70
Kit Cost: $34.99

For my card today, I used the Santa from the kit with the Argyle Patten Bold Print stamp. This color palette is one of 10 that are included in the Ink Combos Guide.

This card is featuring the newly released Cozy Winter stamp set and coordinating Cozy Winter Frame Cuts. I loved making this scene card using this stamp set. I first colored the images and die cut them out using the coordinating dies. Deciding not to have the white outline around the images, I used a pair of scissors to cut directly to the black line on each image.

I created the flooring using my Copic makers to make it look like a wood floor. Using the Brick Bold Print, I lightly stamped a wall to sit my window on. This scene makes me think of a cozy cottage!

Here’s a quick tutorial.  You can watch it here or over at my Youtube channel mzdanajoy.  I’ve used affiliate links for your convenience at no cost to you.

I do have a favorite out of these two cards. Can you guess which one? Check out the tutorial to see just how easy these cards were to put together. (link in bio)

Morning everyone. It's another day for valentine c Morning everyone. It's another day for valentine cards. In today's tutorial I made a trio of valentine cards from one background. This was so easy and so much fun to make. Where are my Distress Oxide Spray lovers?

With three colors of @tim_holtz Distress Oxide Sprays these cards were created. I don't have all the sprays and are "collecting" them little by little. The fear of using these sprays have been unleashed. 😂😂😂 After watching more and more videos from Tim, my nervousness of "messing it up" has been replaced by "oh that's so pretty".

By using just two die cuts from products from the January 2023 release from @heroarts

The link for the tutorial is in the bio and I hope I inspire you to start creating your Valentine's Day Cards.

The January 2023 release for @ginakdesigns is now The January 2023 release for @ginakdesigns is now available. The Terrific Textures stamp designed by @melaniemuenchinger was so much fun to play with.

I stamped the image several times in different color inks from Gina K. Designs. The colors are Passionate Pink, Wild Dandelion, Key Lime, Lucky Clover and Ocean Mist. Next I filled in the area using my W-G 7 @olomarker to change the paper from white to this pretty warm gray color.

While I was stamping the images, I made sure to leave a section blank where I could place my Happy Birthday sentiment. This was such a great card to great.
