Seasons Givings Blog Hop

January 1, 2019

Hey everyone.  I’m so excited to be participating in the Seasons Giving Blog Hop again this year.  This is the seventh year Latisha has so willingly put this blog hop together and I thank her for her generous time and effort.  If you are new to the Seasons Givings blog hop, it’s all about thanking our readers for supporting us throughout the year.  It also gives us a moment to reflect on the previous year and how we have grown in this paper crafting community and in our friendships.  There are some amazing participants in this hop and a few of them I get to call my dear friends.  Make sure to swing by each blog as there are companies and participants that are giving generous prizes away.

Reflecting on 2018 has been joyous as well as heartbreaking.  I have shared some really get projects with you and had the phenomenal opportunities to work with some amazing companies.  I have grown in my crafting and reached some very special goals that I can check off my list.  I’ve also experienced some difficult times as I lost my Dad this year and my side kick Missy Girl (our beloved toy fox terrier).  Throughout these difficult times, many of my crafting friends made the loss of my loved ones bearable and I can’t thank you enough.  Your prayers for strength has helped me tremendously.  As I look forward to 2019, I’m embracing change, new friendships and new adventures.  I hope to take you along that journey with me here on my blog.  Starting 2019 I am now at www.gotjoycreations.com instead of www.gotjoycreations.blogspot.com. You can still few older content on my blogspot but all new content will be here.  I hope you will subscribe to my blog and continue to enjoy what I post. I made a card to ring in the new year.  I used the Concord and 9th Notable Numbers stamp set and Ink On 3 gold rush embossing powder for my numbers and the Simon Says Stamp Mosaic star stencil for a pretty background for my card.  I added a few white, gold and black sequin to finish off my card today.

For my giveaway today I have several stamps and dies I would love to share with one lucky winner.  You can comment below for your chance to win from today through midnight (EST) January 5, 2019.  One lucky winner will be contacted and an address will need to be provided.  (Sorry only USA shipping for this giveaway).

Listed below are the participants and stores joining in this year.  Grab yourself your favorite beverage and having fun along the hop.  Thanks again for all your support and love in 2018.  Can’t wait to see what 2019 brings for all of us.

I’m sorry that you lost your dad and doggy. I lost my sweet Mickey Mouse on February 26, 2018. He was one of the very best parts of my life, so I am still getting over losing him. We named him Mickey Mouse because of his sweet, FUN personality, and because he had the markings on his face like MM. I hope that you find another dog that you love…

I like the gold on black. It’s a great look. It must have been really hard to lose your Dad and your dog in one year. Hopefully crafting will lift your spirits and help you to get through it fully. This next year I would like to spend less time on the computer and more time crafting.

First of all, I am so sorry about the loss of your father and your fur baby. Losing your dad is a hard thing, a daughter and father have that special relationship that you can’t have with your mom. I lost mine 30 years ago when he was barely 56 and I was 30. I miss him every single day. Losing your fur baby is so awful. I was out of work for a week when I lost my first. My heart goes out to you for both losses.

Now, your card is super awesome. Happy New Year to you and your family. Also, your giveaway is really generous. Thank you for being so terrific to think of us!!

I know it has been a roller coaster year (same here) but one thing I know we have in common is that we have an awesome God who is our rock and he has blessed both of our lives with amazing and supportive husbands – and we both love card making ( we have got to make a crafty play date one of these days)!!! @macaluso.anthony you will truly be missed. We had so much fun and the laughs will last a life time.

Your time here was way too short. I know you are going to have the angels laughing their heads off. Rest in peace Tony.

Morning everyone. It's another day for valentine c Morning everyone. It's another day for valentine cards. In today's tutorial I made a trio of valentine cards from one background. This was so easy and so much fun to make. Where are my Distress Oxide Spray lovers?

With three colors of @tim_holtz Distress Oxide Sprays these cards were created. I don't have all the sprays and are "collecting" them little by little. The fear of using these sprays have been unleashed. 😂😂😂 After watching more and more videos from Tim, my nervousness of "messing it up" has been replaced by "oh that's so pretty".

By using just two die cuts from products from the January 2023 release from @heroarts

The link for the tutorial is in the bio and I hope I inspire you to start creating your Valentine's Day Cards.
