July 31, 2021

Hey everyone. It’s countdown time for the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero. I’m super excited to share a sneak peek of the upcoming kit. If you love rainbows, bold prints and stamp sets that make cardmaking stunningly beautiful, you need this kit and all the add-ons. LOL. And let me not forget to mention this gorgeous new brown cardstock coming to Hero Arts.

Hero Arts My Monthly Countdown August 2021

For my card today I used all new card stock in shades of brown. I really wanted different shares of brown card stock to add to my collection and boy did Hero Arts make it happen. These card stock colors make using different skin tones so much easier now.

This hands are in the new release and I absolutely love them. They will be sitting on my desk for many many months to come.

So mark your calendars and set your alarms.  The Hero Arts My Monthly Hero August 2021 will be available August 3rd, 1:00 pm EST. I can’t wait to see how much you’re going to love this kit.  Have a great day everyone and see you back here soon.

Ink Blending With United As One Stamp Set

July 24, 2020

This week as been so exciting. I’m sharing my last card for the week using ink blending with the United As One stamp set.  I love how this card came out with all the rich brown tones of inks.

Distress Ink Background United As One

I started out by blending inks distress oxide inks from the outside edge of my card working my way into the lightest color to be centered on a diagonal in the middle of the panel.  Spritzing the card with some water and lifting the ink with a paper towel gave me the cool water splatters. Now it was time to set the panel aside while I worked on my sentiment.

I inked up a small sentiment strip with the same inks and heat embossed the #unitedasone in gold embossing powder.  Love how the gold with all these shades really makes the card pop.  The ink blended background will really make this sentiment pop. I  layered this sentiment onto a dark brown cardstock.

For added interest I ran the inked background piece through my die cutting machine and embossed stacked squares into the paper.  I decided the add a gold backer piece to this panel to pull in the gold from the sentiment.  Keeping the card simple, I placed this panel on a white 6×6 card base and added a few gold hearts using my infinity hearts die from Hero Arts.  I simply love how this card turned out.

Just to give you a little more excitement.  Here is a sneak peek of our next release. Time to get your color on!!

Thanks for stopping by today and for your support of the first stamp set in our Unity Collection line.  Have a great day and I’ll see you back here soon.
