Hero Arts My Monthly Hero October 2023: PREMIUM KIT

Hey everyone. Welcome ot the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Release day! I’m thrilled for all of you to finally see the entire kit. You should have arrived here from Channin’s blog. Our October release transports you to a snowy night in the forest. This kit features a set of three gorgeous layering dies for building your wintry scene. A 3″ x 4″ stamp set supplies swirling snow and stars. There are four message dies with frames; very useful for the holiday season. The highlight of this expanded Premium kit is a set of three “peeking” animal dies. Add them to your winter scene for a whimsical touch. There’s also a 4″ x 6″ stamp set featuring images with a Nordic flare for building ornaments, flowers, snowflakes, and more. We’ve included a fun new product making its kit debut – white acrylic spray! A generous assortment of cardstock enhances the theme. Let’s get into my card. For my card I wanted to keep the color palettes between the release card and my add-on card simple and elegant. Starting with Dove White  cardstock, I die cut my first layer. My second layer was created using Palm cardstock and my third layer is Cranberry cardstock. I love this color combination.

On the third panel, gold heat embossing was a great option. By using gold embossin powder for my snowflakes and splatter, it really made my card pop. Also dip dying my sentiment (which is a technique I always forget about), I pulled the gold onto the sentiment.

This card is truly a favorite of mine. Remember you can enhance your enamel dots with alcohol markers. I’ll show you in the tutorial.

Here is my add-on card using the beautiful Color Layering Folk Winter Animals Stencil. Oh my oh my! This is one gorgeous stencil.

If you can fall in love with a stencil, this one is my boyfriend. LOL This stencil is absolutely PERFECT for your holiday cards.

Remember, I said I was going to keep the color palette similar to my release card. By using the same three colors gold, red and green, this card is equally as gorgeous as the release card.
