Hey everyone. Have you seen the Hero Arts Little Miss Detective stamp set and coordinating die cuts? OMG she is downright the cutest little detective ever. I mean GIRL RUN THE WORLD RIGHT? LOL Okay let me show you her and how I turned her into a card.
Let’s start with the clothing trend we have here on the card. As soon as I saw this stamp set, I knew I wanted to create my own design for her hat and coat. Starting off laying down a shade of yellow green with my Olo Markers (Y8.6). Next using my brown Olo Marker (O 7.8) I drew a plaid dish design on her hat, coat lapels and her cuff.
For the rest of her coat I used Olo Marker (Y 8.6, Y8.7) with O 7.1 on her blouse. Here skin was colored with Olo markers OR 3.2, OR 3.4 and OR 3.7. Hair was colored with OR 3.4, OR 4.7, and OR 4.8. The adorable magnifying glass was colored with a gold marker.
The rest of the color palette for the cards was created using Hero Arts Pesto and Woodland cardstock. For an added flair, I used a white gel pen to add some faux stiching around the Pesto panel and heat embossed the sentiments in white . LOVE how this card turned out.
The Hero Arts Little Miss Detective has found a home in my stamp room. She will be used on multiple cards I plan to send to friends and family. Thanks for stopping by today.
