Welcome to the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero for May 2022. You should have arrived here from Channin’s blog. I hope you have enjoyed the sneak peeks and now it’s time for the full reveal. We’ve cooked up some creativity with the May My Monthly Hero kit release. Join us in the kitchen for a kit made for sharing birthday greetings, friendship, or decorating your baked goodies! The kit is rounded out with cardstock in colors that give a vintage kitchen vibe, as well as wonderfully theme-appropriate baker’s twine.

Here’s a look at my card. I had so much fun creating. I started with Hero Arts Pebbles cardstock and the Brick Cling Background stamp. Then heat embossed it in Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder to create the background. Now it was time to add the kitchen.
Using Hero Arts Dove White cardstock, I die cut the little kitchen twice. Cutting it twice, I was able to create a heavier piece of cardstock. Next I pulled out my Copic Markers and did a little bit of coloring. For the stove and the hood I used silver matte cardstock.
I made a tutorial showing you how I pulled the card together. You can watch it here or over on my Youtube channel mzdanajoy.
Let’s not forget my bonus card using the Hero Arts Eggcellent stamp set. OMG this stamp set is fantastic. I created a little table for my kitchen set up to be displayed. Again I used my Copic markers to color this one up. Make sure to grab the bundle for this stamp set. You will really want to have the matching dies for this set.
Giveaway: We will give away a $50 gift card, drawn from the comments left across the hop. Enter by Sunday, May 8th at 11:59pm Pacific, and the winner will be announced on the Hero Arts blog the following week.
Don’t forget to pre-order your kit today – we estimate kit shipping will begin Friday, May 6th and continue throughout the following week. Next on the hop is Daniel. Have a fantastic day everyone and I’ll see you back here soon.

I like how you paper pieced the oven with your design. Hero Arts does a great job with single dies that are easy to cut up for that extra level of creativity!

Hi, Dana – I’m delighted with this release from HA. I think that so many things from it will be useful at many other times or for many occasions during the year. I love your colorful accents on the shelves w/ a relatively neutral backsplash and oven/stove. You have so much talent!! Your eye for color is superb. Thx for sharing.
