My card today is featuring the Altenew Here For You stamp set. This is one of my favorite stamp sets from Altenew. The large flower makes so a pretty card. I used Altenew Watercolor Paper and Altenew Watercolor Brushes for my card today. I placed the color of the brush onto my glass mat and used my Altenew Artists Watercolor brushes to paint the image. Happy bright watercolors really make this flower just bloom on a card.
Wanting to have some texture to my card, after I watercolored the image, I ran the panel through my die cutting machine with the Altenew Enchanting Vines 3D embossing folder. What a great way to add texture within my artwork.
Adding in a touch of black to ground my piece, I heat embossed one of the sentiments from the Hero For You stamp set in Altenew White Embossing Powder on black card stock. Remember, if a stamp is all on one line, you can easily cut it about after you heat emboss to scatter your sentiment across your card.

I was just wonder did you color the flower before or after the embossing. Beautiful coloring. The embossing folder gives a lot of texture and movement to the card. Can’t go wrong with water coloring and embossing a great combo. I must try.

Hi Erica. Yes I watercolored it first and made sure it was dry before I used the embossing folder.
I have that set to and it’s one of my favorites! I must get brave enough to use in embossing folder after I color my image.
