Holiday Card Series 2019 Day 14 – Guest Designer Kymona Tracey

November 30, 2019

Hello everyone!! Kymona here with you, and I’m taking over Dana’s blog to share in the fun of Dana’s Got Joy Creations Holiday Series for 2019. Make sure you are following this series for amazing holiday inspiration, giveaways, discount codes, and don’t forget to leave a comment below to qualify all the giveaways. There will also be tutorials and cards shared by Dana as well, and she will have a few surprises to share with you!

Today, I’m sharing a couple clean and simple cards with you using the Wishing You Joy stamp set!

Let’s take a look at my cards:

Kymona Tracey\

Clean and simple are my favorite cards to make. I love how they look and turn out. Very elegant yet simple!

Here’s how to create these cards:

Cut the cardstock to 4.25 by 11. Score at 5.5. You will have two cards.

For the first card, stamp the sentiment in the center using black ink.

Then draw a line a half an inch from the top and bottom of the stamped sentiment using a pencil.

Using red and green ink, stamp the dotted line going across the front.

Erase the line when the ink dries.

Round all four corners with a corner punch.

For the second card, stamp the sentiment in the upper right-hand corner using black ink.

Score a line a half an inch to the left of the sentiment and a half an inch from the top of the sentiment.

With the same red and green ink, stamp the leaves under the sentiment.

See, beautiful and simple, yet elegant.

Let’s take another look:

So what do you think? Will you try and create clean and simple cards this holiday season? I would love to hear from you! You can find me on my blog and on my Instagram.

The GJC Holiday Card Series runs from November 17 to December 14. Each day Dana will have a Guest Designer right here on the blog sharing their holiday card ideas just like I did here today. Hopefully, you will find something to inspire you to create holiday cards for your family and friends this year. Follow along on her YouTube Channel and make sure you leave comments on each designer’s posts or videos for chances to win.

Happy Friday everyone. I love playing with stencil Happy Friday everyone. I love playing with stencils and today I have a quick tutorial using the Fanfare stencil from @simonsaysstamp. By using just one stencil, I create a few cards that show how I stretched my design layout.

Head on over to my Youtube channel to watch the turorial. I hope I can inspire you to use just one stencil to create beautiful backgrounds for your next card.

Have a wonderful day everyone and stay safe.

The newly released @stitchablecards kit is fantast The newly released @stitchablecards kit is fantastic. I stitched up with piece from the kit and I'm so excited to sent it out to a friend. These kits are great for people who love to cross stitch on the go.

There are times I can't get into my craft room to create and I need my crafty fix. I grab one of my kits and start stitching from anywhere. There are three kit subscriptions you can choice from. I have a link in my bio for a quick Youtube tutorial showing what came in my kit. If you love to cross stitch I highly suggest you sign up for these kits.

Morning everyone. I'm on the @heroarts blog today Morning everyone. I'm on the @heroarts blog today sharing two bookmarks I made using products from the new Mix Media release. These bookmarks were so easy to create and I love the colorful style of them.

I truly hope we are inspiring you with our projects using the items from the release. I remember a time I used to be scared to do mix media. Now it's so easy for me to create without fear. Mix media is just using more than one medium on your projects and I've been doing that forever. LOL

Woo hoo the @ginakdesigns May release is now live. Woo hoo the @ginakdesigns May release is now live. I made a card using the Fearless Flyers stamp set along with pretty colors of Gina K. Designs inks.

This card was so easy to pull together with a quick cloud and grass stencil. For added texture, I used Copic markers to add flicks that look like blades of grass. Definately one you could easily mass produce.

Had a chance to play with products I order from @s Had a chance to play with products I order from @simonsaysstamp a few weeks ago. What better way to enjoy the day with rainbow colors on a card.
Easy ink blending with distress oxides and a little bit of heat embossing did the trick.

Today we are here with an installment of our month Today we are here with an installment of our monthly series, CommUNITY, where we share artwork from artists who we'd love for you to get to know. CommUNITY is about embracing and honoring the creativity of individuals who are often underrepresented. By sharing art from a diverse group of creators, we hope to not only bring inspiration to this papercrafting community we all love so much, but also support and empower individuals to be their authentic selves as they create and share. Look for a new CommUNITY guest artist right here on the blog each month

Our CommUNITY guest for this month is the amazing @yupimadethat. Tammy and I have a twin connection as she is the mother of twin boys and I have a twin sister. The challenges are doubled with twin. LOL Head on over to the Hero Arts blog to see her creations and hear her story. She's pretty amazing!

Tammy thank you so much for being our guest this month. You bring so much talent to this craft community and we love it.

The @simonsaysstamp Yay You release is now life. I The @simonsaysstamp Yay You release is now life. I had the chance to play with the new You Did It waver die. This die is the perfect size for an A2 size card panel. With happy rainbow pattern paper I die cut the sentiment for my card. I used the same paper to keep the rainbow theme working on my card.

Having the paper match really gives my card a cohesive look. Adding a small sub-sentiment and a touch of gold finished off my card nicely. This is the perfect die for our upcoming graduates. Head on over to the Simon Says Stamp store to grab this die cut and other items from the release.
