Easy Valentine’s Day Cards – Sally and Sherman The Skunks

February 12, 2019

Hey peeps.  Sharing easy Valentine’s Day cards with the new Sally and Sherman The Skunks stamp set.  This stamp set is just darling for Valentine’s Day cards.  It has adorable images and great sentiments.  You can also purchase the Sally and Sherman The Skunks coordinating crafting dies to go long with the stamps. If you missed my blog hop post check it out here.

For my card today I colored my images with Copic markers and I created a card base with a cute little scene for my little skunks to hang out on.  Keeping the card very clean and simple allowed me to showcase my images and sentiment better.  I die cut out the sentiment using one of the Oval Stitched Label dies.  I made sure to pop up my sentiment and skunks to give my card some dimension.  And voila my card was complete.  This will be a cute set to use for those quick Valentine’s Day cards.

I mean look how adorable these images are.  They are super easy to use for Copics, watercolor markers or pencils.  You can totally get creative with this little guys.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I’ll see you back here soon.

Valentine’s Day Card Series 2019 – Day 5 and a GIVEAWAY

February 1, 2019

Hey peeps.  I’m back with the final day of my Valentine’s Day Card Series 2019 and a giveaway.  And of course I have a tutorial today. I want to thank everyone who have commented on my blog and subscribed during this series.  I appreciate your kindness and support.  For my card today I did a little bit of ink blending inspired by Kristina Werner.

First I pulled out my my dried marigold, worn lipstick and seedless preserves oxide inks  to start blending that color on some 80 lb Neenah Solar White card stock.  I knew by using this color combination I would end up with a very pretty Valentine’s Day Card.

Next I stamped the top and bottom borders with the beautiful cascading hearts from the Concord and 9th Little Love Tags stamp set.  I heat embossed the hearts with white embossing powder.  I pulled out one of the sentiments in this stamp set and heat embossed it in white as well on the front of the card panel.

To finish up the card I placed this panel on a 110lb Neenah Solar White card base and added a few clear droplets to mimic additional water splashes.  I just love love, love how this card turned out.  You can easily mass produce this is card with so many pretty colors for Valentine’s Day.

Here’s a quick tutorial.  You can watch it here or over at my Youtube channel mzdanajoy.  I’ve used affiliate links for your convenience at no cost to you.

I will be giving away a $20 gift certificate to Concord & 9th so you too can make something special for your love ones.  It would be great if you followed me on my social media accounts listed below and leave me a comment letting me know how you show your loved one how much they mean to you.  Winner will be announced Sunday Feb 3rd on my Instagram page. Thanks for stopping by today and I’ll see you back here.

Valentine’s Day Card Series – Day 4 Simon Says Stamp

January 30, 2019

Hey peeps. It’s day 4 of my Valentine’s Day Card Series for 2019.  I swear these series go by so fast.  I feel like I just finished the one from last year.  If you missed that series be sure to check it out here.  I’ve been doing these series for a few years now and I love seeing how far I have come in my style and designs.  So let’s check out today’s card and video.

For my card today I used the Deco Hearts Wafer Dies from Simon Says Stamp.  The details on this die are so beautiful and it makes it so easy to emboss with it.  Then you also get an outline die which is perfect to cut this out or use as a solid die cut. If you are looking for a fantastic set of tiny sentiments you must check out the Simon Says Stamp You Got This stamp set.  I am in ❤️ with this stamp set.  The positive words and inspirational sentiments are just awesome.  Perfect for sending to family and friends.

Now it’s time for the tutorial.  Thank you so much for watching my videos and leaving comments.  It’s really means a lot to me. You can watch it here or over at my Youtube channel mzdanajoy.  I’ve used affiliate links for your convenience at no cost to you.

Thanks for stopping by today. See you back here on Friday for the final tutorial for this series.

Valentine’s Day Card Series 2019 – Day 3 MFT Shaker Card

January 28, 2019

Hey peeps.  Welcome to day 3 of my Valentine’s Day Card Series 2019.  Today’s card is all about shaking things up. I love me a good shaker card but one in the shake of a martini glass…YASSS!!!! Now only if I could get all this sparkle in my dirty martinis.  😉 If you missed the beginning of my Valentine’s Day Card Series click here.

I used the My Favorite Things Lots of Hearts stencil and the Martini Window die for my card today.  This is a super easy card to mass produce and it’s so much fun to put together.  You can do this with any shape of alcohol image.  It’s rather addicting to make just so you know.  LOL The sentiment is from the new Sassy Pants Love stamp set also from My Favorite Things.  You can see more inspiration using this stencil here on this blog post.

Pink and Main Perfect Couple

January 24, 2019

Hey peeps.  Welcome back to another Pink and Main post.  Today I’m sharing the newly released Perfect Couple stamp set and coordinating Perfect Couple dies.  This is such a cute stamp set for anniversary cards or even Valentine’s Day.  I colored the two bears with the same colors to keep the card clean and simple and not too busy with a ton of color.  I mentioned before I always pick out my paper before I color and today’s paper is from the new Watercolor Foil paper pad from Pink and Main.  Once my bears were colored I die cut them out with the coordinating dies.  I did use an x-acto knife to trim out a little more of the white area then the die does.  It’s just my preference and is not necessary at all to do.

Next I die cut out three fish tails with the Thin Fish Tails dies from Pink and Main from the watercolor foil paper pad.  I LOVE this paper pad with it’s foil hearts.  It’s sooo pretty.  I layered the banners one on top of each other shifting them a little to the right on each one.  The first one is adhered directly to the card base and the others are popped up on foam dots.  I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set onto the card base using Riverwalk ink from Pink and Main.  All that was left was to add the image.  Once I did that I decided to add one of the new rose gold heart glossy dots between the two bears.

Thanks for stopping by today.  See you back here soon!
