Poshta Design Spring Release

March 11, 2022

Hey everyone. I’m so happy to share I had the pleasure of working with the new Poshta Design March 2022 release. The color palette for my cards are from the Egg Hunt color story. It’s ohhh so pretty and bright. Let me tell you a little bit of information on the release.

Cheerfully decorated eggs are an essential part of any Easter celebration. The Egg Details Collection offers a variety of styles to make your Easter decor extra charming. Choose from stripes, polka dots, embroidery, filigree layers, and even a scalloped window to showcase monograms or patterned fabric. The dies are all sold individually, giving you the flexibility to add to your personal collection as you wish. Decorate your home with playful garlands and ornaments or make thoughtful cards and custom tags for your loved ones’ Easter baskets using this sweet die series. The release will be available Saturday March 12, 2022 at 12:00 PM EST.

The basic egg die comes with an inspiration guide to assist you in using the companion dies. Here is the breakdown of each die:

Basic Egg Die $12

Egg Window Die $15

Embroidered Egg Details Die $15

Filigree Details Die $32

Polka Dot Details Die $15

Stripe Details Die $20

Color Stories $50 each

New Felt Colors $6 each (sold individually)

The first card I have for you today features the basic eye die along with the stripes detail dies. When I say stitching this card was so easy, a kid can really do it. These dies are easy to line up and having the choice a choice to add different color stitching brings the egg to life.

Remember, these dies can be used to make Easter egg ornaments or like I have done, I’ve used them on Easter cards.

I pulled paper from my stash that matched the Egg Hunt Color Story felt to a tee! I really love how this card came out.

My second card makes my heart so very happy. This egg was made using the basic egg die with the Filigree Egg Details dies. Oh my word, these dies are stunning.

The colors of felt for the Egg Hunt color story are Clementine, Soft Jade, Poolside, Cheeky and Daffodil. The bead kit includes iridescent clementine, jade green satin, iridescent pink, yellow satin and iridescent aqua sequins. What I love about the bead kit, you have plenty of sequins you can use on other crafting projects.

Contrasting the thread really brings the design of this card up a notch. Placing the egg on plaid rainbow paper with a simple sentiment keeps my card stunningly beautiful.

I highly suggest that if you see a color story you really love, grab it! Also make sure you grab the detail add-on dies with your basic egg die to make glorious eggs for easter. I could totally see these eggs becoming garland around a mantel or hanging from a hook in a kids room.

There will be a giveaway during the hop so make sure to visit Poshta Design IG page for all the details. Thanks for stopping by today.

Heart Turnabout Background: Valentine’s Day Card Series Day 3

January 19, 2022

Hey everyone. Welcome back to day 3 of the Valentine’s Day Card Series. The color palette for today is very retro and I love it. This has been one of my favorite color palettes for a while now and I even want to use it in my house now. LOL We are working with the Heart Turnabout stamp from Concord & 9th today along with a quick and easy sentiment. If you missed the start of the card series, you can visit day one here. Let’s get into the card.

Like I mentioned we are using the Heart Turnabout stamp to make a pretty background. The ink colors today are from Concord & 9th and they are Aqua Sky, Marmalade, Stardust and Wheat. This color palette will work for masculine or feminine cards.

Adding a little bit of dimension on the card by die cutting out the center with the Hero Arts Infinity Hearts dies gives the card a pretty eclipse look.

You can watch the tutorial here or over on my Youtube channel mzdanajoy. Affiliate links have been used at no cost to you.

Like I promised, here is a bonus card I made using the watercolor background. The panel was created using the same colors but instead of inks, I used liquid watercolors in the same colors from Concord and 9th. For this card I used the Waffle Flower Stitchable Pinking Heart die for my focal point. Stitching has become another hobby I’m really embracing. The pattern for this design was easy to create by just shifting the colors in the design.

DMC floss was my go to thread for the stitched heart. Here are a few color combos in the same palette you can use for stitching.

DMC726, DMC741, DMC779, DMC3761
or
DMC744, DMC3854, DMC3862, DMC747

I decided not to place a sentiment on this card and just let the beautiful stitching shine through.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed your visit. I’ll see you back here tomorrow for more Valentine’s Day card inspiration.

Simon Says Stamp Stitching Heart Die

December 16, 2021

Hey everyone. Today I’m sharing a card using the new Simon Says Stamp Stitching Heart die. I really love getting into stitching more and more so this die was perfect for just that.

The die makes tiny little piercings in your card panel however, using a embroidery needle I was able to make them a little bigger so I could stitch along the lines to make complete my heart design.

I paired it with Matte Gold Cardstock from Simon Says Stamp and Pitch Black Cardstock from Hero Arts.

I truly LOVE the simplicity of this card. The sentiment came from the For My Sweet stamp set from Simon Says stamp and the gold mate pearls are from Trinity Stamps.  Thanks for stopping by today. I’ll see you back heres soon.

Valentine’s Day Card Series 2021 Day 4

February 4, 2021

Hello everyone. Welcome back to the Valentine’s Day Card Series 2021 Day 4. I’m so excited to share this card with you today as it’s totally out of my normal card style. I have taken up cross stitching and am in love. The simplicity of stitching has really given me comfort lately. No need to be in my craft room sitting at a desk. I can work from my bed or couch.

Waffle Flower stitching dies are the perfect craft for me when I don’t have the energy to create. It’s very mindless work and it keeps me active even when I don’t have the energy to do much. Creating a simple card with this die and the DMC makes it a perfect go to for me.  I can stitch until I’m complete and then save the pieces for cards later.

This die is so much fun to use. I have several of them already completed and ready for cards. I will share a different design using this die later.

Doing cross stitch as a young child was so enlightening. As I got older I set it aside and moved on to different crafts. I’m so glad I have found my love of it again.

All products are listed below.  I hope you will grab this die and some DMC thread to make a pretty heart for someone you adore. I could not link directly to the colors however they are DMC Floss Pearl Cotton 3688, 817 and 963. See you back here tomorrow to wrap up the series.
