My card today was kept to a simple color palette of black and white. Using this color palette really puts the focus on the Sweet Pea. I stamped the image onto black cardstock with Versamark ink and sprinkled it with white embossing powder. Before I heat set it, I also stamped out a simple happy birthday sentiment to be heat embossed as well.

After I finished the heat embossing, I trimmed down the black cardstock so I could layer it on a piece of matte silver card panel which as a 1/4″ larger than the black panel.

Now it was time to adhere this panel to an A2 card base and add a few matte silver pearls to finish off the card.

The Paint-A-Flower Rosa Floribunda is such a beautiful stamp set. Instead of painting the rose I used my Altenew Alcohol Markers. My color palette today was teal, orange and yellow. I think these colors work beautifully together. I also pulled in some gold for heat embossing the sentiment and for a splatter effect on the card.

To make the flowers stand out a little bit, I lined around the image with a blue markers to give a little bit of shading.
