Hey peeps. I’m sharing an easy no-line watercolor card with you today. When I just want to relax and color I love to pull out my watercolor palettes and color. For me watercoloring is a peaceful experience. I really try hard NOT to let it be overwhelming and intimidating. To me it’s just water, color and paper. When I do my no-line watercoloring I used Fade Out Ink from InkOn3. It’s perfect for no-line coloring techniques. Easy no-line watercolor is in your reach I promise. I made a video sharing the top 5 watercoloring tools you need for successful watercoloring. You can find it here.
For my card today I used the adorable Neat and Tangle Contemporary Kids stamps set. I’ve had this stamp for a while however I just now getting around to play with it. I pulled out some gorgeous paper from my scrap pile (can’t remember the brand where this paper came from) for my color palette inspiration. I used my Daniel Smith watercolors to color up these cuties on Arches watercolor paper. Once they were colored and dried, I fussy cut them with some scissors.
To tone down the plaid paper, I wrapped it with a piece of vellum to soften it up some. Just using the paper without the vellum was making it hard to really see the little kids on my card. Before I placed the vellum over the designer paper, I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from the Color My Word stamp set from WPlus 9. I placed the panel on a white card base and added just a few enamel dots for added interest.
Here’s a close up of the card. This card was so much fun to make. As you can see it’s a really simple card however it’s so colorful without over doing it.
Thanks for stopping by today. I’ll see you back here soon!
