Hero Arts MMH August 2023 Countdown

Hey everyone. Welcome to the Hero Arts MMH August 2023 countdown. This month’s kits will inspire you to get out and travel this summer. It’s full of beautiful images and dies along with coordinating sentiments.

Also this month you can really stretch your imagination with adding in some mix media elements to your card. For my card today I used the new Hero Arts Two-Tone Metallic Sprays with the Hero Arts Liquid Watercolors and Hero Arts Brass embossing powder.

I used to be very uncomfortable with mix media but now I feel like I can manage it.

My tip is to just not overthink it. Use products you are familiar with and take it from there. Then you can explore adding more products and techniques. See you back here on Monday for the full release. Take care!

Let’s get into today’s card. Because I really loved the card I made for countdown (you can see it here), I decided to step it up just a little bit with single images from the kit. They create a great border on a card panel.

By adding the touch of rainbow towards the bottom of the card as well, this card screams happiness.

My bonus card today is featuring the new Picnic Basket Stamp Set and coordinating fancy cuts. This bundle makes STUNNING picnic cards. That fabulous gingham blanket for my picnic scene was created using the gingham print stamp included in this stamp set.

Now the course gingham stamp can be stamped on it’s on OR you can line it up to create a great pattern.

Hero Arts My Monthly Hero June 2023 PREMIUM kit

Welcome to the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero June 2023 Premium Kit release. You should have arrived here from Channin’s blog. Let’s get started on the hop.

Our June release features a Color Layering stamp set that captures the magical play of light on the ocean at sunset. This Premium Kit includes a 6″ x 8″ stamp set featuring this HeroScape scene, including images to add embellishments, such a dock, a lighthouse and sea birds. There are coordinating dies, as well as a beautiful oval window die to set the beach scene. The list of items also available in the Classic Kit is rounded out with four ink cubes in perfect sunset colors, and six sheets of watercolor paper. The highlight of our upgraded Premium kit items is a fun three-piece stencil set for creating a seashell background. Or cut out the stenciled shells as individual project elements! There is also a bonus card for you today. This card is featuring the Color Layering Beach Floor Stencil with the Sea Quotes stamp set. How cool is this card? I love it so much. The colors are so vibrant and summery! Makes me want to take a dip in the ocean.

For some added sparkle, I applied a thin layer of color right at the waves edge and sprinkled it with Hero Arts Iridescent Earthsafe Glitter.
