For my card today I pulled out all the green, red and gold holiday vibes. I love using traditional and non traditional colors for my holiday cards. With the class kit, you can make so many beautiful cards as you probably have seen with all the countdown inspiration.
Mixing parts of the classic kit and premium kit, you REALLY stretch your cardmaking! Remember you can use each kit by itself or use bits from each kit.
Also mix up your supplies. Use inks, markers and paste! This makes your cards look amazing.
Hopefully today’s tutorial will inspire you to mix things up on your cards. You can watch it here or over on my Youtube channel.
Now I also have a inspiration card using an add-on from this month’s release. This card is featuring the Winter Holiday Cheer Bundle. Grab your colorful inks and make a beautiful holiday town.
My little town is sitting in a winter wonderland. By hand trimming snowbanks and lightly blending on a little Hero Arts Dove ink, I had the perfect place to add in some trees.
To add in a little more interest, you could use Hero Arts glitter with a touch of glue for sparkle on your snowbanks.
The colors inks I used for my little town were Mist, Soft Blossom and Periwinkle. For my trees I used Moss and Espresso. To light up the windows I used a light yellow marker and for the doors and dormers I used a medium brown. Next on the hop is Ilina. We will give away a $50 gift card, drawn from the comments left across the hop. Enter by Sunday, November 12th at 11:59pm Pacific, and the winner will be announced on the Hero Arts blog the following week.
Have a great week everyone and I’ll see you back here soon.
