Simon Says Stamp Stamptember Celebration!!!

September 2, 2024

****Make sure to read all the way to the bottom of the post for an announcement****

Hey everyone. I’m so excited to be a part of the Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember celebration. This is Simon Says Stamp 15th stamp timber and like always it is amazing. There are so many products in this release that I know you will fall in love with.

For my projects today, I am using the new Big Holiday Words stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. This stamp said has so many great sentiments for your holiday cards and more. Let’s look into what I created today.

I am in need of making some holiday gift tags for the upcoming holiday season and this was the perfect opportunity to use these large sentiments. To start off,  I die cut out several star shapes using my Infinity Star Diecuts from Hero Arts. Since I know I will need different sizes. I used one larger size and one smaller size die. Now it was time to add color.

Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Celebration

Using my blending brushes, I lightly blended the largest die cut with Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated ink in Sangria using more ink towards one side and fading it out as it went across the star. For my next star, I used Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated ink in Sage and repeated the same blending technique.

Once my ink blending was complete, I can both images through my die cutting machine using the Simon Says Stamp Filament Snowflakes Embossing Folder. To create a really cool look, I only embossed half of the star. This really can make the difference when you are creating. After the embossing was complete. I stamped a sentiment from the Big Holiday Wishes on each of the stars using black ink.

Next, I used a small hole punch to add an opening for my gold thread. And to finish off the card, I add a few gold star embellishments.

I absolutely LOVE how these tags came out and will definitely be creating more. If you would like to get more inspiration using Simon Says Stamp products, click here.

MFT February 2024 Release

February 27, 2024

Hey everyone. MFT February 2024 release is now available and it’s awesome. I couldn’t wait to make a card with the Happiness Comes In Small Packages stamp set. I don’t make baby cards that often but this one has my heart.

With a stamp set this cute, I had to use the new Smart Mask Horizontal Diagonal Center stencil. It was the perfect stencil for a lot of added color without it being everywhere. You must grab this stencil because it’s so much fun to work with.

By lightly ink blending distress oxide inks in Kitsch Flamingo and Wilted Violet, I was able to create this pretty blend. Adding a little it of shimmer spray before I removed the stencil gave this ink blend a dreamy effect. The little bunnies were colored with Copic markers (E00, E50, E53, RV11, RV00) as well as the balloons (RV11, RV14 and Olo Marker V2.6). Having the coordinating die cuts was a much for cutting out those balloons.

Let’s give MFT a round of applause for making yet again another wonderful stamp set and stencil to have in our craft supplies. So grab your goodies from the MFT February 2024 release today! Have a wonderful day everyone.

Skunk Love

January 25, 2024

Hey everyone. I’m playing away with the Hero Arts January 2024 release. Next up is the adorable Skunk Love stamp set. I paired it with the Heart Burst stencil and what a cute card.

I started first by ink blending the beautiful Heart Burst stencil onto dove white cardstock using Azalea ink. Next I stamped out the adorable skunk and one of the sentiments from the Skunk Love stamp set in Hero Arts pitch black ink. With a light gray marker, I added just a bit of color to the skunk and sentiment.

I wanted to keep this card really simple. I die cut out the skunk and the sentiment and popped it up onto the heart burst background.

And with that background and images done, all I had to do was to add this to a dove white cardbase. I think this card is just too precious. I’ve linked all the products below. Affiliate links were used at no cost to you.

I hope you will join me back here soon for another card.

Add A Punch To Your Cover Plates

January 23, 2024

Hey everyone. I’m back with another card using the Hero Arts Flowers and Hearts Coverplate Fancy Die. If you missed yesterday’s tutorial where I shared another card, you can click here.

Now this card, I wanted a bright and almost sunset look for my card. Using my Hero Arts Reactive inks in Fruit Punch, Creamsicle and Lemon Drop, I ink blended the colors onto the Flowers and Hearts Coverplate. The coverplate was die cut with Hero Arts Dove White Cardstock.

Once I had everything ink blended, I decided to ink blend all around the panel with Licorice Reactive Ink for some shading. To add a little texture, I splattered the panel with Hero Arts Iridescent Shimmer Spray.

Next I layered the panel onto a top folded card base. For the sentiment, I die cut the Love You So Much Coverplate with dove white cardstock. Being very careful, I trimmed down the love you portion of the coverplate and adhered it to my card.

This was such an easy and pretty card to make. Affiliate links have been used at no cost to you. Hope I’ve inspired you to grab this cover plate and start making beautiful cards.

Hero Arts September 2023 MMH CLASSIC Release

September 5, 2023

Welcome to the Hero Arts September 2023 MMH CLASSIC Release. You should have arrived here from Channin’s blog. Our September release includes one of our most popular product combinations – a window die with coordinating layering stencils! In this beautiful fall-themed kit, the window is decorated with leaves and mushrooms, ideal for the autumn season. The kit’s 4×6 stamp set features decorated script messages which can nestle perfectly within the window. There are four ink cubes to use with the layering stencils, and a white lacquer pen for adding spots to your mushrooms – or for any other creative ideas you may have! And calling all shaker card aficionados – we’ve got you covered with clear card panels in the kit, too.

CLASSIC
• Fall Messages Clear Stamp Set, 4″ x 6″
• 3 Color Layering Stencils, 5.25″ x 6.5″
• Coordinating Fall Window Die
• 4 Core Ink Cubes (Spicy Mustard, Caramel, Cherry, Espresso)
• 8 Clear Card Panels, 4.25″ x 5.5″
• Unicorn Lacquer Pen

For my card today I used all the inks included in the kit! This is such a pretty fall color palette. And if you have been to my blog before, you know I love me a good color palette. Even though the fall season is here in the US, we are still burning up here in Florida. So I can only get my fall vibes off of a card right now. LOL

To add just a punch of color, I pulled in some beautiful teal blue paper. The Hero Arts Adriatic paper was the perfect color.

The muted hue of this paper works well with deep reds, yellows and browns. Give it a try with your fall cards.

As usual, I have a tutorial for you today. You can watch it here or over on my Youtube channel mzdanajoy And if you want to see what other cards I have made with Hero Arts releases, click here.

I also have an add-on card for you today featuring the HEro Arts Pumpkins and Leaves Transfer. Talk about easy cardmaking. With these rub-ons there is no coloring required. That’s a win when you need quick cards. To keep with the fall theme, I pulled in shades of orange, yellow and a hint of light brown.

The beautiful background was created using the new Leaves and Swirls stencil.

Pre-order your kit today – we estimate kit shipping will begin Friday, September 8th and continue throughout the week. Remember you can subscribe to your kit/kits each month and never miss out. Let’s not forget about the giveaway either.

Next on the hop Emily! Have a great time hoping around. Take cae!
