Color Swatching and Paper Matching

January 29, 2020

Hey everyone.  I have a quick tutorial showing you color swatching and paper matching over on my Youtube channel.  This is the perfect time to get organized in your craft room and find your mojo again.  Color swatching and paper matching is made easy using just a few tips.  The wonderful Jennifer McGuire has helped make our ink swatching easier.

So sit back, grab a cup of your favorite beverage and let’s get into the video.  You can watch the video here or over on my Youtube channel.

Products used have been linked below.  Thanks again Jennifer for making my color swatching and paper matching so much easier.  Have a great day everyone and I’ll see you back here soon!

Updated Watercolor Swatch – What Have I Done Now?

June 4, 2019

Hey peeps.  Updated watercolor swatch…what have I done now?  Yes I MUST keep my colors organized.  LOL . I thought I would share with you a quick video showing how I updated my watercolor swatches.  The first method really did work for me for years, however I felt I needed to tweak it just a bit. Do you watercolor swatch your paints?  Which brands do you use?

Keeping my space organized is one of the most valuable things I can do for myself.  It keeps me from chasing my own self around the room trying to figure out where I placed or stored an item. I’m not OCD however I am VERY dedicated to keeping a happy space.  When I find disorganization in my space it kills my creativity.  I feel like I’m suffering slowly and to keep that from happening, I stay organized.  An updated watercolor swatch will make all the difference if you don’t understand how much watercolor paints you already have.  For me, if I see what I have I will “try” not to purchase the same colors.  That doesn’t always work because different brands have different shades however at least I would know that I don’t need anymore yellows when I have 30 of them.  LOL

Okay onto the video. You can watch it here or over at my Youtube channel mzdanajoy.

Let me know if you keep a color swatch of some sorts?  Do you do it for your inks, markers, pencils, paints?  Let me know in the comments.  Have a great day everyone.  I’ll see you back here soon!
