Altenew July 2022 Summer Love Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Welcome to the Altenew July 2022 Summer Love Release Blog Hop + Giveaway. You should have arrived here from Virginia’s blog. Let’s get into some of the cards I have for you today. You can also check out other cards I have made using Altenew products here.

My first card is featuring the Altenew Geo Triangles Embossing Folder and the Altenew Geo Triangles Stencil. These two products together make STUNNING cards. I mean check out how sassy this card is.

Starting off first with the colors, I sponged on Altenew inks in Snapdragon, Honey Drizzle, Teal Cove, Midnight Violet across a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock. To create the color blend, I made sure to overlap the colors just a bit. Next placing the paper in the Altenew Geo Triangle Embossing Folder, it was time to run it through my diecutting machine.

Once the diecutting was over, I trimmed down my piece to fit a 5″x5″ white card base. The sentiment was created using the Altenew Bold Alpha Dies. For just a little sparkle. each letter had a bit of Scrapbook.com shimmer pen layered on top of it.

My next card is featuring just the Altenew Geo Triangles stencil. Using the same colors as my previous card, however I omitted one of the colors to keep the white background. Love how random the pattern looks without using four colors.

Wanting this panel to really pop, trimming it down and adding it to a back panel of black cardstock worked perfectly. Just an addition of faux stitching with a white gelli roll pen finished the card off.

All the card needed at this point was a sentiment. I heat set a sentiment from the Monsteras & Quotes stamp set in white embossing powder on black cardstock. Since I didn’t want to cover up too much of my design, I trimmed the sentiment piece as close as I could to the sentiment and popped it up center on the card.

Altenew July 2022 Marvelous Monthly Series Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Let’s get into my card. I used the Build-A-Garden Tulips & Friends Stamp and Stencil set. Using the included stencil really makes working with these sets so easy.

For my tulips and leaves I used Altenew Fresh Lemon, Honey Drizzle, Chamomile, Snapdragon, Pastel Sunrise, Canyon Clay, Mountain Mist and Sweet Leaf inks. Just look how wonderful these colors go together.

To keep the card soft, an embossing folder was a perfect spot for my tulips to land. The Altenew Enchanting Vines worked perfectly with a backer panel in a soft yellow cardstock.

Pulling in just a touch of black, I heat set a few sentiments to add to the front of the card. This card really was a breeze to pull together. Now let’s talk about the giveaways.

Hero Arts My Monthly Hero July 2022

This month’s kit features a flock of flamingos in HeroScape form. Layer the included inks to easily stamp the gorgeous birds, and create a scene with water below and clouds above. So let’s start with my card. I trimmed down a piece of Hero Arts Dove White cardstock and blended Hero Arts Mist and Aegean inks to create this pretty background for my flamingos to rest on. Adding the sparkly gems from the kit really anchors my birds.

My bonus card for today is featuring the new Hero Arts Peacock Die. How fancy is this little one? This die allowed me to create a rainbow feather feature for my peacock. Setting it onto Hero Arts Pitch Black cardstock and tucking him into a piece of Hero Arts Kiwi cardstock really made it pop. A simple sentiment heat embossed with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder went perfectly on the kiwi cardstock. I used a .10 white gelli roll pen to add some waves and dots around the edges of the cardstock.

Altenew July 2022 Summer Sunshine Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Let’s get into my card. I used the Altenew Monsteras and Quotes Stamp Set, Monsteras and Quotes Simple Coloring Stencil and the Altenew Monsteras and Quotes Die Set. I love very graphic leaves and this stamp set has just that AND fantastic sentiment to go along with it.

I kept my card very clean and simple. Lots of white space along with black and white polka dot washi tape to frame out the sentiment panel. Stamping the leaves in Altenew Black ink and then using the stencil with Altenew Bamboo and Altenew Grass Fields inks really makes the leaves pop. Using the coordinating the dies helps to trim them out nicely.

The cleanness of just the three colors of black, white and green truly makes this card a stunner.

Altenew June 2022 Today is the Day Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Welcome to the Altenew June 2022 Today is the Day Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway. You should have arrived here from Natalie’s blog. Let’s get into the hop.

My card today is featuring the new Altenew Climbing Leaves stamp set and coordinating Climbing Leaves die. Creating my card was so much fun. Using white cardstock, I blended on a base color of Altenew Bamboo ink to create a gorgeous green backdrop for my leaves. Next I stamped the Climbing Leaves stamp set in Altenew Parrot ink.

Using the coordinating die I die cut out the leaves. For a pop of color behind the die, I used the Altenew two pieces of Rouge card stock from the Red Sunset Gradient Cardstock set. Using Altenew Rouge ink I stamped out a few sentiments from the Altenew Bold Sentiments stamp set. These sentiments were popped up on the top of the card. Next the card panel was placed onto a white card base measuring 6×6.

My next card was created using a sentiment from the Climbing Leaves stamp set and the Altenew Linked Ovals Embossing Folder. A bright yellow really allowed the embossing folder to create a beautiful border for the sentiment.

When using embossing folders, stretch your design by cutting the design in half so a sentiment will fit nicely in between. A few yellow gems finished off this card.

For my last card I used the Altenew Sentimental Florals stamp set and coordinating Sentimental Florals stencil and dies. I have to say this card is absolutely my favorite. Keeping the card clean and simple but with a graphic layout really makes this card a winner. Pulling colors from the flowers, I added a graphic element by splitting the background with pink and black cardstock.

A soft purple was blended in the center of the flowers to keep the color palette working. A simple sentiment heat embossed in white onto black cardstock kept the card simple. For added interest, a few white pearls were added to complete the card design.
