Pretty Pink Posh Pumpkin Patch Critters

October 8, 2018

Hey peeps.  Happy Monday.  I have a tutorial for you today featuring the Pretty Pink Posh Pumpkin Patch Critters.  These little critters are so precious.  I’m also using Copic markers in the tutorial.  I don’t do a lot of coloring videos so this is a treat for me.  I really love coloring however I always get nervous to film the process.  I don’t know why.  It’s the crazies thing.  I’m going to try and do it more often to share the process with all of you.

For the background I used the Simon Says Stamp Mod Stripe stencil.  OMG I LOVE this stencil.  It makes perfect backgrounds and I LOVE the mod feel of it!  I’ll be using this on a bunch of cards as it’s never leaving my desk. 😂

For my Copic colors and ink colors I used the following:

Copic Markers

Pumpkin: Y17, YR07, YR18, E25, E27

Fox: YR27, E19, E37, E00, E000

Squirrel: W1, W3, W5, W7

Bunny: E0000, E000, E00

Cheeks on all critters R20

Inner Ears E95

Inks

Gina K Designs

Tomato Soup, Sweet Corn and Sweet Mango

Here’s the tutorial.  You can watch it here or over at my Youtube channel mzdanajoy. I’ve used affiliate links for your convenience at no cost to you.

Thanks for stopping by.  See you back here soon.

World Cardmaking Day Blog Hop Technique Tuesday

October 6, 2018

Hey peeps.  Happy World Card Making Day!  I’m so excited to be a part of the WCDM blog hop with Technique Tuesday.  We have some awesome projects to share with you for this great hop along with a chance to win a gift certificate to Technique Tuesday.  Also for the hop we have a coupon code for you to use at check out to get a free featured stamp set just for this hop.

For my cards today I’m featuring the You’re Owlsome stamp set from Technique Tuesday.  This stamp set can be yours for FREE.  All you have to do is purchase $30 in products from Technique Tuesday, add the You’re Awesome stamp set to your card and at checkout put in the WCMD18 and the You’e Awesome stamp set will be free.  Yup, FREE peeps!!

For my first card I colored up my owl with Copic markers and paired it with some fun paper from Doodlebug Designs.  I cut my paper on a diagonal and flipped one piece over to use the second side of the paper.  I glued on some goggly eyes onto my owl and started to build my card.  I placed the pattern paper on the left side of the card to allow myself some space for a sentiment.  I stamped the sentiment in blue ink to coordinate with the colors in my background paper.  All that was left was to pop up my adorable owl.

For my second card, I deiced to make a simple shaker card.  I again colored my image with Copic markers and used some pretty designer paper to make the card panel and shaker area.  I used vellum instead of plastic to keep the background a little bit softer and filled my shaker part with micro beads.  I cut out the sentiment three times in brown cardstock and stacked them to make them sturdy.  Next I stamped a coordinating sentiment on the yellow designer paper and put my card together.  I placed my owl off to the left of the circle leaving enough room for you to see all the shaker elements.  For this owl I used a different pair of eyes to make it even cuter.

Now it’s time to work your way around the hop.  Don’t forget to leave a comment on each blog for your chance to win a gift certificate to Technique Tuesday. You can leave your comment until October 8th 2018.  Winner will be announced on October 10, 2018.

Pretty Pink Posh Autumn Wreath Tutorial

October 5, 2018

Hey peeps.  I’ve playing in the Pretty Pink Posh Autumn Wreath.  I absolutely love this beautiful stamp set.  It is perfect for autumn inspired cards.  As you can tell I’ve been all over the fall cards lately.  LOL

I have two cards for you today.  One I have a tutorial for and the other I just wanted to share with you.  Let me show you the first card that I made for the tutorial.  This card I kept clean and simple using distress inks, the Pretty Pink Posh Autumn Wreath stamp and some embossing powder.

Okay here is the tutorial.  You can watch it here or over at my Youtube channel mzdanajoy.  I’ve used affiliate links for your convenience at no cost to you.

Here is my other card I created using fadeout ink from InkOn3 and my polychromo color pencils.  I had such a relaxing time coloring this card.  I also kept this card clean and simple by repeating a similar background like my first card and adding just a few gems to the card panel.

Thanks so much for hanging out with me today.  Make sure to swing by here tomorrow as it’s World Cardmaking Day.  I’ll be participating in a blog hop and you’ll have a chance to win a gift certificate.  I’ll see you guys back here soon.

The newly released @stitchablecards kit is fantast The newly released @stitchablecards kit is fantastic. I stitched up with piece from the kit and I'm so excited to sent it out to a friend. These kits are great for people who love to cross stitch on the go.

There are times I can't get into my craft room to create and I need my crafty fix. I grab one of my kits and start stitching from anywhere. There are three kit subscriptions you can choice from. I have a link in my bio for a quick Youtube tutorial showing what came in my kit. If you love to cross stitch I highly suggest you sign up for these kits.

Morning everyone. I'm on the @heroarts blog today Morning everyone. I'm on the @heroarts blog today sharing two bookmarks I made using products from the new Mix Media release. These bookmarks were so easy to create and I love the colorful style of them.

I truly hope we are inspiring you with our projects using the items from the release. I remember a time I used to be scared to do mix media. Now it's so easy for me to create without fear. Mix media is just using more than one medium on your projects and I've been doing that forever. LOL

Woo hoo the @ginakdesigns May release is now live. Woo hoo the @ginakdesigns May release is now live. I made a card using the Fearless Flyers stamp set along with pretty colors of Gina K. Designs inks.

This card was so easy to pull together with a quick cloud and grass stencil. For added texture, I used Copic markers to add flicks that look like blades of grass. Definately one you could easily mass produce.

Had a chance to play with products I order from @s Had a chance to play with products I order from @simonsaysstamp a few weeks ago. What better way to enjoy the day with rainbow colors on a card.
Easy ink blending with distress oxides and a little bit of heat embossing did the trick.

Today we are here with an installment of our month Today we are here with an installment of our monthly series, CommUNITY, where we share artwork from artists who we'd love for you to get to know. CommUNITY is about embracing and honoring the creativity of individuals who are often underrepresented. By sharing art from a diverse group of creators, we hope to not only bring inspiration to this papercrafting community we all love so much, but also support and empower individuals to be their authentic selves as they create and share. Look for a new CommUNITY guest artist right here on the blog each month

Our CommUNITY guest for this month is the amazing @yupimadethat. Tammy and I have a twin connection as she is the mother of twin boys and I have a twin sister. The challenges are doubled with twin. LOL Head on over to the Hero Arts blog to see her creations and hear her story. She's pretty amazing!

Tammy thank you so much for being our guest this month. You bring so much talent to this craft community and we love it.

The @simonsaysstamp Yay You release is now life. I The @simonsaysstamp Yay You release is now life. I had the chance to play with the new You Did It waver die. This die is the perfect size for an A2 size card panel. With happy rainbow pattern paper I die cut the sentiment for my card. I used the same paper to keep the rainbow theme working on my card.

Having the paper match really gives my card a cohesive look. Adding a small sub-sentiment and a touch of gold finished off my card nicely. This is the perfect die for our upcoming graduates. Head on over to the Simon Says Stamp store to grab this die cut and other items from the release.
