Hey everyone. It’s Day 3 of the Holiday Card Series. I am your host today. I hope you are enjoying the series so far and you are getting inspired by our guest designers. Today’s cards feature products from Concord and 9th. Concord and 9th is a company I adore. Their products are amazing and so creative. The owner Angie is one the sweetest people I know. I love her dedication to the crafting community and supporting crafters is genuine. Thank you Angie for supporting me again this year. Let’s get into the tutorial.
For my first card I used the Stocking Stuffers stamps and dies from Concord & 9th to make a cute stocking card with a colorful snowflake background. This card was super easy to pull together and I love the color combos on this one.
To tone down the brightness of my background panel I used a sheet of vellum.
For my second card I used the Merry Shapes stamp set and die. These stamp and die combo make very clean and simple cards that WOW your recipients. Keeping the card to just two colors really lets the image stand out. Repeating a pattern across a card is a simple way to mass produce your holiday cards. I stamped the image first with Versamark ink on navy card stock. I heat embossed the images with gold embossing powder. Next I die cut out image with the coordinating die. Setting these pieces aside I began to work on the sentiment.
Keeping with the clean and simple look I stamped the sentiment on navy card stock, heat embossed it in gold embossing powder and glued into onto a strip of gold foil paper. Now it was time to put my card together. Starting with a white card base, I layered on navy card stock. To bring in some gold I pulled out my neutral foil pack and used the gold paper so I could layer another piece of navy car stock on top. I adhered my die cut shapes across this panel with foam tape and trimmed down the extra bits hanging off the sides. For the sentiment, I popped it up with foam tape as well.
This panel was now ready to for the card base. To finish off the card I glued down a few flat back sequins on several of the open circle areas on the card. Super easy card to make multiples of. I’ve linked the products below that I used on these cards. Thanks for stopping by today. See you back here soon.
