Technique Tuesday Blog Hop Day 2

February 2, 2019

Hey peeps.  It’s Technique Tuesday Blog Hop day 2 and I’m using the Remember When Scrapbooking stamp set.  This is a perfect stamp set for cardmaker and scrapbookers alike.  It’s super easy to create very graphic cards with it as well as use it for all your scrapbooking needs.  The Remember When stamp set is so versatile and I’m sure it will be one you will reach for continuously.

For my card today, I stamped out some colorful blocks using one of the solid images that comes in this stamp set.  I used spring like colors to keep my card light and bright.  Next I stamped out several of the sentiments in black ink on three of the squares.  This left with with lots of white space and it keeps your eye moving across the card with each sentiment.  I added just a few matching colored gems to complete the front of the card.  I used a piece of black card stock to mat this white panel on and adhered everything to a white card base.

Inside the card I placed a photo of my girlfriends and I.  We took this picture back in the summer and I want to give each one of them a copy of it to remind us of the wonderful day we had together.

Make sure to leave comments on the design team members blog for your chance to win.  You can find more details over on the Technique Tuesday blog.

Valentine’s Day Card Series 2019 – Day 5 and a GIVEAWAY

February 1, 2019

Hey peeps.  I’m back with the final day of my Valentine’s Day Card Series 2019 and a giveaway.  And of course I have a tutorial today. I want to thank everyone who have commented on my blog and subscribed during this series.  I appreciate your kindness and support.  For my card today I did a little bit of ink blending inspired by Kristina Werner.

First I pulled out my my dried marigold, worn lipstick and seedless preserves oxide inks  to start blending that color on some 80 lb Neenah Solar White card stock.  I knew by using this color combination I would end up with a very pretty Valentine’s Day Card.

Next I stamped the top and bottom borders with the beautiful cascading hearts from the Concord and 9th Little Love Tags stamp set.  I heat embossed the hearts with white embossing powder.  I pulled out one of the sentiments in this stamp set and heat embossed it in white as well on the front of the card panel.

To finish up the card I placed this panel on a 110lb Neenah Solar White card base and added a few clear droplets to mimic additional water splashes.  I just love love, love how this card turned out.  You can easily mass produce this is card with so many pretty colors for Valentine’s Day.

Here’s a quick tutorial.  You can watch it here or over at my Youtube channel mzdanajoy.  I’ve used affiliate links for your convenience at no cost to you.

I will be giving away a $20 gift certificate to Concord & 9th so you too can make something special for your love ones.  It would be great if you followed me on my social media accounts listed below and leave me a comment letting me know how you show your loved one how much they mean to you.  Winner will be announced Sunday Feb 3rd on my Instagram page. Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

February 1, 2019

Hey everyone.  Today we are having the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop.  So many of our talented design team members have projects to share with you today.  February products are live today so you can pick up your goodies after hopping through all the blogs.  So let’s get started with the Kind Cosmo stamp set.

Remember during the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop you have a chance to win a great prize and you can also make your purchases today.  That’s a win-win right?  For my card today I used the Kind Cosmo stamp set and matching dies.  As you already know, Technique Tuesday features a beautiful floral stamp set everyone.  I love the clean and simple lines of this month’s Kind Cosmo stamp.

I stamped my image on watercolor paper and colored it in using distress oxide inks.  Next I smooched some distress ink on a piece of watercolor paper in a random print so it gave my flowers a space to land on and it kept the background simple. I stamped one of the sentiments from the Kind Cosmo stamp set on this background piece and layered it over black card stock.  I decided to pop my flowers up on foam dots for added dimension.

Valentine’s Day Card Series – Day 4 Simon Says Stamp

January 30, 2019

Hey peeps. It’s day 4 of my Valentine’s Day Card Series for 2019.  I swear these series go by so fast.  I feel like I just finished the one from last year.  If you missed that series be sure to check it out here.  I’ve been doing these series for a few years now and I love seeing how far I have come in my style and designs.  So let’s check out today’s card and video.

For my card today I used the Deco Hearts Wafer Dies from Simon Says Stamp.  The details on this die are so beautiful and it makes it so easy to emboss with it.  Then you also get an outline die which is perfect to cut this out or use as a solid die cut. If you are looking for a fantastic set of tiny sentiments you must check out the Simon Says Stamp You Got This stamp set.  I am in ❤️ with this stamp set.  The positive words and inspirational sentiments are just awesome.  Perfect for sending to family and friends.

Now it’s time for the tutorial.  Thank you so much for watching my videos and leaving comments.  It’s really means a lot to me. You can watch it here or over at my Youtube channel mzdanajoy.  I’ve used affiliate links for your convenience at no cost to you.

Thanks for stopping by today. See you back here on Friday for the final tutorial for this series.

It’s Magical With Pink and Main

January 29, 2019

Hey peeps.  I hope you’ve been enjoying my design team work for Pink and Main this month.  Today I’m sharing the Magical stamp set and the Magical stand along die from Pink and Main.  Oh boy I love all of the word stand alone dies from Pink and Main and this one is no exception.    This is definitely a card you can make over and over again.

I started off by die cutting the magical die with pretty pink and rose gold foil paper.  Look how gorgeous that font is.  (Yup font snob right here 🙋🏽‍♀️). Next I stamped one of the sentiments from the Magical stamp set on pink paper in black and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.  I used a beautiful rose gold polka dot paper for my background paper and framed it down the side with charcoal gray card stock.  I also layered my sentiment on the same charcoal gray to keep it cohesive.

To finish off my card I added just a few rose gold sequin to the card.  I’m so happy with the way this card turned out and I hope you are too.

Alright peeps, it’s a wrap for today.  I’ll see you back here soon!
