Holiday Card Series 2023 – Day 2

Welcome to the Holiday Card Series 2023 Day 2. Let’s get into another color palette. Today’s color palette is a non traditional color palette. It’s on the cooler side of the spectrum and I absolutely love it.

Not only are we doing a non traditional color palette, we are also doing non traditional stamp sets as well. Pulling out those stamps that may not fit into your holiday card design, really allows you to stretch those stamps to use year around.

The first card is featuring the Hero Arts Better Together stamp set. This stamp set is a collaboration set between Hero Arts, Pocono Pam and myself.

Now the next card features the Gina K Designs Friendly Silhouettes stamp set.

And our last card is featuring the Pink Fresh Studio Eucalyptus Fantasy stamp set.

All of these cards are using the exact came colors but look truly different by switching up how I use the color on the card. You can watch the tutorial here or over on my Youtube channel mzdanajoy.

Hey everyone. Welcome to the Holiday Card Series 2023 – Day 1! I’m super excited to share this series with you again this year. We switched things up and this year we are focusing on color versus technique.

I’ll share with you beautiful color palette that will level up your holiday cards. Tips and tricks to get them looking seamlessly created. Let’s take a quick look at the cards.

As you will see, each card is using the same color palette however they look slightly different

Holiday Card Series 2022 Day 5: Stencils and A Background Stamp

Hey everyone. Welcome to day 5 of the Holiday Card Series for 2022 and we are using stencils and a background stamp to make our cards today. I love, love, love how these cards came out.

By using a word stencil, a background stamp and a stencil with open areas, these cards came out amazing. I also made sure to start with colored cardstock to make ink blending a breeze.

Holiday Card Series 2022 – Day 4 Faux Dip Dye

Hello everyone. Welcome to Day 4 of the Holiday Card Series. We are working on faux dip dye today. I have watched Kristina Werner do this one her holiday cards and I love it. So I took the brave step and decided to give it a try for the holiday card series.

This process for this technique is really simple. By adjusting the amount of water and watercolor paint you can make a beautiful gradient card. Also to deepen up a color, add black a little at a time to get the color you are looking for.

Holiday Card Series 2022 Day 3: Metallic Watercolors

Nothing makes my heart happier than metallic watercolors on black cardstock. Iuile watercolors are now one of my favorite watercolors. They are so shimmery and look magnificent applied to cards or in this case tags. These beautiful stars are from the Simon Says Stamp Peace On Earth stamp set.

A simple sentiment that is not oversized works wonderfully on the tags. By keeping the sentiment on black cardstock, it matching with the tag and does not compete with it.

Here is the bonus card I mentioned in the video. This card was made using the same stamp set. For this card I did no-line watercoloring on the angel and I’m in love with the way it came out.
