Hero Arts MMH March 2021

March 8, 2021

Hero Arts MMH March 2021 kit is now available. This kit is full of literary images to make you want to curl up with a good book. Pre-order your kit today – we estimate kit shipping will begin Friday, March 12th and continue throughout the following week.

Kit Contents

6″ x 8″ Clear Stamp Set
7 Coordinating Frame Cuts
Reactive Pallet Ink Pad
Water Flow Brush
6 Bookmarks, Pure White Cardstock
Rainbow Hemp Cord, 6 meters
Kit Value $73
Kit Cost $34.99

For my card today I used the image of the woman reading a book. I think this image is so sweet and it looks like me when I’m nestled into my corner chair deeply invested in a good novel. I always need birthday cards and I love that this kit has a birthday sentiment. Coloring my image with Copic markers and making a little scene was super easy using this image.

I kept the card really simple so the image was the main focal point. Using the Woodgrain stencil from Hero Arts I added just a slight bit of texture on my Cherry cardstock. I love the softness it gives the background paper without adding too much of a distraction.

Hero Arts will be giving away one $50 gift card, drawn from the comments left across the hop. Enter by Sunday March 14th at 11:59 pm PST and a winner will be announced on the Hero Arts blog the following week. Next on the hop is Daniel. The entire list of participants is listed below.

Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Countdown March 2021

March 7, 2021

It’s the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Countdown for March 2021. If you love reading and relaxing, you are going to love this kit. I made a square shaped bookmark to mark my place in my Hero Arts Spring Catalog.

Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Countdown

Remember bookmarks don’t always have to be long and skinny. I really like a corner book mark and making it uniquely mine is even better.

Make sure to swing back by on Monday to see the entire kit and join in on the blog hop.  See you back here soon!

Hero Arts Colorful Palm Trees

February 23, 2021

Hey everyone. I’m still inspiring my vacay vibes on cards. LOL The Hero Arts colorful palm trees are the way to go. The palm trees are from the My Monthly Hero February 2021 kit.

I kept my card very clean and simple but bright with fun colors. I used my Hero Arts Reactive Inks to keep my colors fun.

I first stamped the trees onto white card stock. Then I stamped the trees again in the red yellow and blue inks. Die cutting the trees with the coordinating dies, and popping them up with foam tape gave my card some dimension.

A simple sentiment and matching colored gems and my card was complete. I love layering clean and simple cards on black cardstock. It makes the top panel really pop.  Thanks for stopping by today. I’ll see you back here soon.

Hero Arts Hibiscus Flowers Bold Print Background Stamp

February 21, 2021

Hey everyone. I’m back with another card using a bold print background stamp from Hero Arts. The Hero Arts Hibiscus Flowers Bold Print background stamp is the perfectly lively background for your vacay themed cards.

I pulled out my Karin watercolor makers for my coloring medium. This allowed me to add bold color however also being able to control the intensity of it by adding less or more water.

For the sentiment I used the Lea’s Ornate Lowercase alphabet dies from Pink Fresh Studios. I die cut it several times in black cardstock and stacked them. I added glossy accents to give it some shine.

Once I had the panel complete I adhered it to Hero Arts Meadow cardstock and a white card base.  Thanks for stopping by today.  See you back here soon.

Hero Arts Water Ripples Bold Print

February 18, 2021

Hey peeps.  I have some inspiration for you today using the Hero Arts Water Ripples Bold Print stamp. This Water Ripples stamp is perfect for adding texture to your cards. You don’t have to use it as just water on your backgrounds.

Here on my card I made it the focal point on my card.  I stamped the image in embossing ink onto black card stock. Next I sprinkled on gold embossing powder and heat set it. I then die cut a heart out of the background.

For my sentiment I die cut out a HI with the Honey Bee Stamps Bee Narrow dies in gold glitter paper. I added weight to the hi by die cutting it several times in black and stacking them one on top of the other.

For the graphic design of my card. I used a piece of the left over paper to back a piece of black cardstock that was splattered with white paint. I popped my heart on that piece and adhered everything to a white card base.

I also rounded the corners of my panels to give the card some softness like the heart.  Thanks for stopping by today.  See you back here soon.

Morning everyone. It's another day for valentine c Morning everyone. It's another day for valentine cards. In today's tutorial I made a trio of valentine cards from one background. This was so easy and so much fun to make. Where are my Distress Oxide Spray lovers?

With three colors of @tim_holtz Distress Oxide Sprays these cards were created. I don't have all the sprays and are "collecting" them little by little. The fear of using these sprays have been unleashed. 😂😂😂 After watching more and more videos from Tim, my nervousness of "messing it up" has been replaced by "oh that's so pretty".

By using just two die cuts from products from the January 2023 release from @heroarts

The link for the tutorial is in the bio and I hope I inspire you to start creating your Valentine's Day Cards.
