Pink and Main 5th Birthday Blog Hop – Inspiration Overload

March 20, 2019

Hey peeps.  Today we are celebrating Pink and Main’s 5th Birthday Blog Hop.  I’m so excited for everyone today.  Pink and Main has been one of my favorite stamp companies since Michelle started.  She is an incredible woman and she has made Pink and Main one of the go to places for beautiful stamps, dies, paper and embellishments.  We have some amazing and talented people on this hop and I’m sure you’re going to be blown away with so much inspiration.  For my card today I’m using the Party Balloons stamp and coordinating die cuts.  I’ve also pulled in a sentiment from the Sweet Bouquet stamp set.

Pink and Main Party Balloons

To create my card, I pulled out a variety of inks and stamped out fun confetti onto a white card base.  I used the same inks to stamp out each balloon.  Stamping the coordinating design on each one with gold ink makes the balloon shine. Next I die cut out each balloon and added some gold thread to the bottoms of each one.  Stacking the balloons one on top of the other leaving space for each one to be seen give me my focal point. The last two balloons I added just a bit of foam tape to pop them up.

To add my sentiment, I pulled out a piece of yellow card stock and stamped one of the sentiments.  This sentiment came from the Sweet Bouquet stamp set.  Trimming this piece into a sentiment banner and adding some foam tape to the back, allowed me to keep the balloon strings all together. Adding just a few gold sequin finished off the card nicely.  I have more inspiration using Pink and Main products here.👈🏽

Are you ready now to hop around for more excitement?  It’s time to take a scroll along the hop to these very talented crafters.  Make sure to leave them some love along the way. There will be FIVE random winners from this blog hop.  Each winner will receive a $50 store credit to Pink and Main. Technique Tuesday Blog Hop Day 2

February 2, 2019

Hey peeps.  It’s Technique Tuesday Blog Hop day 2 and I’m using the Remember When Scrapbooking stamp set.  This is a perfect stamp set for cardmaker and scrapbookers alike.  It’s super easy to create very graphic cards with it as well as use it for all your scrapbooking needs.  The Remember When stamp set is so versatile and I’m sure it will be one you will reach for continuously.

For my card today, I stamped out some colorful blocks using one of the solid images that comes in this stamp set.  I used spring like colors to keep my card light and bright.  Next I stamped out several of the sentiments in black ink on three of the squares.  This left with with lots of white space and it keeps your eye moving across the card with each sentiment.  I added just a few matching colored gems to complete the front of the card.  I used a piece of black card stock to mat this white panel on and adhered everything to a white card base.

Inside the card I placed a photo of my girlfriends and I.  We took this picture back in the summer and I want to give each one of them a copy of it to remind us of the wonderful day we had together.

Make sure to leave comments on the design team members blog for your chance to win.  You can find more details over on the Technique Tuesday blog.

Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

February 1, 2019

Hey everyone.  Today we are having the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop.  So many of our talented design team members have projects to share with you today.  February products are live today so you can pick up your goodies after hopping through all the blogs.  So let’s get started with the Kind Cosmo stamp set.

Remember during the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop you have a chance to win a great prize and you can also make your purchases today.  That’s a win-win right?  For my card today I used the Kind Cosmo stamp set and matching dies.  As you already know, Technique Tuesday features a beautiful floral stamp set everyone.  I love the clean and simple lines of this month’s Kind Cosmo stamp.

I stamped my image on watercolor paper and colored it in using distress oxide inks.  Next I smooched some distress ink on a piece of watercolor paper in a random print so it gave my flowers a space to land on and it kept the background simple. I stamped one of the sentiments from the Kind Cosmo stamp set on this background piece and layered it over black card stock.  I decided to pop my flowers up on foam dots for added dimension.

Technique Tuesday January Release Bog Hop

January 1, 2019

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE  SEASONS GIVING BLOG HOP click the link.

Good morning everyone.  Today is Technique Tuesday January 2019 release blog hop.  I’m super excited to share my project with you today. We have some amazing projects from the design team for this release.  So let’s jump right into it shall we?

For my project toady I used the Narcissus stamp set and coordinating crafting dies.  I LOVE coloring simple floral images and this one is perfect for color pencils, watercolors or alcohol markers.  I used various shades of cool grey, yellow and green markers for my image.  Since these flowers are white with yellow centers I didn’t just want to leave them white without some color to it.  That’s when a nice cool or neutral grey marker comes in handy.  You can also use a very pale blue or violet to achieve a similar look.

Next I stenciled on a yellow burst onto a piece of  Neenah solar white 80 lb card stock and trimmed it down.  I backed this piece with black cardstock to help it stand out.  I stamped the sentiment onto a flag banner and heat embossed it in white.  Adding some small dots using a white gelly roll pen added just a tad bit of texture to the panel.  Lastly I popped my flower on some foam tape and added some silver sequin.  This panel was added to a white card base.

Now it’s time to hop around to see what the other design team members have for you today. All products are available in the Technique Tuesday shop.

Seasons Givings Blog Hop

January 1, 2019

Hey everyone.  I’m so excited to be participating in the Seasons Giving Blog Hop again this year.  This is the seventh year Latisha has so willingly put this blog hop together and I thank her for her generous time and effort.  If you are new to the Seasons Givings blog hop, it’s all about thanking our readers for supporting us throughout the year.  It also gives us a moment to reflect on the previous year and how we have grown in this paper crafting community and in our friendships.  There are some amazing participants in this hop and a few of them I get to call my dear friends.  Make sure to swing by each blog as there are companies and participants that are giving generous prizes away.

Reflecting on 2018 has been joyous as well as heartbreaking.  I have shared some really get projects with you and had the phenomenal opportunities to work with some amazing companies.  I have grown in my crafting and reached some very special goals that I can check off my list.  I’ve also experienced some difficult times as I lost my Dad this year and my side kick Missy Girl (our beloved toy fox terrier).  Throughout these difficult times, many of my crafting friends made the loss of my loved ones bearable and I can’t thank you enough.  Your prayers for strength has helped me tremendously.  As I look forward to 2019, I’m embracing change, new friendships and new adventures.  I hope to take you along that journey with me here on my blog.  Starting 2019 I am now at www.gotjoycreations.com instead of www.gotjoycreations.blogspot.com. You can still few older content on my blogspot but all new content will be here.  I hope you will subscribe to my blog and continue to enjoy what I post. I made a card to ring in the new year.  I used the Concord and 9th Notable Numbers stamp set and Ink On 3 gold rush embossing powder for my numbers and the Simon Says Stamp Mosaic star stencil for a pretty background for my card.  I added a few white, gold and black sequin to finish off my card today.

For my giveaway today I have several stamps and dies I would love to share with one lucky winner.  You can comment below for your chance to win from today through midnight (EST) January 5, 2019.  One lucky winner will be contacted and an address will need to be provided.  (Sorry only USA shipping for this giveaway).

Listed below are the participants and stores joining in this year.  Grab yourself your favorite beverage and having fun along the hop.  Thanks again for all your support and love in 2018.  Can’t wait to see what 2019 brings for all of us.
