Altenew October 2024 Release Blog Hop

October 4, 2024

Welcome to the Altenew October 2024 Release blog hop! I’m so excited to have you with me today. I have a few cards to share with you using products from this release. You can see the entire collection here.

For my first card, I used the new Pumpkin Patch Simple Coloring Stencil set with the coordinating Pumpkin Patch 3D Embossing Folder.

Altenew October 2024 Release Blog Hop

To create this card, I stenciled the pumpkin patch simple coloring stencil onto the new Sicilian Amber Cardstock. This cardstock color  is perfect for fall cards. The inks I used were Sunkissed, Orange Cream, Autumn Blaze, Fire Brick, and Hunter Green. All these colors are new from Altenew.

Altenew October 2024 Blog Hop

The sentiment for the card came from the Pumpkin Patch Outline stamp set. The stamp said also has coordinating dies, which I used to die cut out the large sentiment. The smaller sentiment was trimmed down with my paper trimmer. In addition, I added some beautiful Citrine Gems using the new Perfect Picker tool.

Altenew October 2024 Blog Hop

Now my second I REALLY love how it turned out. For this card I stamped the Pumpkin Patch Outline Stamp Set with Espresso Ink onto Vanilla Cream Cardstock. Gold shimmer spray was applied over the image. This gave the image incredible sparkle.

Altenew October 2024 Release Blog Hop

Once the spray tried, I die cut out the image using an oval die cut. Then I used several fall colored alcohol markers from Altenew to color in the pumpkins making sure to not color every pumpkin. This is such a cool effect.

Altenew October 2024 Release Blog Hop

Now for the background, I used Vanilla Cream Cardstock and ran it through my die cutting machine with the Altenew Woven Basket Embossing Folder. To make the design stand out, I swiped Altenew Sand Dunes and Rocky Shore inks over the embossed area. All that was left was to add the beautiful pumpkins to my woven background and add a sentiment.

Altenew March 2024 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in Total Prizes!))

March 6, 2024

Welcome to the Altenew March 2024 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway! I’m excited you are here today. You can start the hop here at the beginning if you missed anyone along the way.

Let’s get into the cards I made today. For my first card I used the Rustic Rose Stamp and coordinating die. I started the card by first stamping the rose onto watercolor paper. Next I mixed colors from the new Altenew Tube Watercolors to create these beautiful colors for my rose. Mixing watercolors to create a custom color is a wonderful way to expand your color palette.

Once the rose was completely dried,  I used the coordinating die to cut it out. Now it was time to work on the background.

Using the same Altenew Cold Press Watercolor Paper, I made this background by mixing blues and grey watercolors together. For added texture I splattered on gold paint before I adhered the rose. For the sentiment, I decided to use the you are the best so this card could be given at any occasion. Finally, I trimmed down the panel and adhered it to a white card base.

Let’s get into the next card. This card is  featuring the Paint and Stamp Butterflies from the Altenew March 2024 release. I stamped the images in a very light grey in for a no-line watercolor look. For each butterfly, I carefully painted it in a color and allowed the next color to blend a little into the next one. I love a cool rainbow feel on a card.

Once I was finished painting each butterfly, I splattered the coordinating color above it to give it a whimsical look and added just a touch below each butterfly was well.

A simple sentiment and a black cardbase really finished this card off nicely. Now it’s time for the giveaways.

There is $300 in total prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $100 gift certificate to 1 lucky winner and a $50 gift certificate to 4 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop list below by 03/12/2024 for a chance to win. For my card today I used soft colors of warm grays, light blues and a hint of yellow to create my card. Since this is a layering stamp, it was super easy to create this card. I have a tutorial show you exactly how this card came together.

You can watch the tutorial here or over on my Youtube channel mzdanajoy.

Each month we also make a card using add-ons from this month’s release. This card was created using the new Crane Wishes stamp set and the Cherry Blossom Cover plate! To tweak using the die as it was intended, my Better Press machine came in handy to imprint the image into my card panel. Once I had the impression made, it was time to color up the crane and a few flowers to add to this panel.

The simplicity of this card is what I love most about this card. Along with keeping the color palette in warm grays and just a pop of red from my Hero Arts enamel dots, this card really took no time to create. Want them all? Click here to get all the add-ons for this month.https://heroarts.com/collections/2024-march

Hero Arts Spring 2024 Catalog Blog Hop

February 14, 2024

Welcome to the Hero Arts Spring 2024 Catalog Blog Hop. So glad you are here with us today. You should have arrived here from Jeannie’s blog.

My inspiration cards today feature some of my favorite products from the new catalog. For my first card I used the new I Appreciate You Stamp set. This stamp set literally has my heart! The I Appreciate You stamp set is the perfectly way to tell someone you love and appreciate them.

Keeping the color palette simple and by just repeating the gold red and black really makes this card stand out. By doing a little bit of he embossing. I was also able to add another element to this card.

Next we have the Zen Circle Hot Foil Plate paired with the Spring Bunny Bundle. By foiling the circles in a pearlescent hot foil, the design doesn’t stand out and distract from the adorable bunny.

This card is perfect for spring or even Easter. I mean who doesn’t want to receive some bunny kisses?

Let’s move to card number three. I created this card using the new Floral Garden Stencil. By stenciling with Unicorn White Ink onto Sand cardstock, it makes the flowers pop off the background. The beautiful thinking of you sentiments is from the With Sympathy stamp set.

And last but not least, I have a card using the Color Layering Thank You Love stencils. These layering stencils are a totally a cool vibe. You can color block the areas for this great look.

I decided to pair it with the I Appreciate You Stamp Set and coordination die. There are so many color combination you can create with this stencils. Now for the giveaways. Hero Arts will be giving away TWO $50 gift cards, drawn from the comments left along the hop. Comments on all blog for more chances to win! You have until Wednesday, February 21st at 11:00PM to enter. The winners will be announced on the Hero Arts blog.

Next on the hop is Pocono Pam. Thanks for stopping by everyone and I hope that we have inspired you during the Hero Arts Spring 2024 Catalog Blog Hop. Grab your new products and have fun. Have a great day and I’ll see you back here soon.

KIT VALUE: Premium Kit: $113 Value for $49.99

Let’s get into the cards I made for today. For my first card I have a tutorial using products from the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Premium Kit! Using the ephemera from this kit made it super easy for me to create this card. By keeping the background super soft, the butterflies and sentiment take all the attention.  Love this card.

By adding in just a little bit of green splatter to the card, it pulls the green down and makes it all work so well together.

Here is the tutorial for this month’s card. You can watch it here on the blog or over on my Youtube channel @danajoy.

For my bonus card, I used the Words Of Peace Bold Print. This is by far my most special card I have made. Starting off with the beautiful Hero Arts Two-Tone Metallic Sprays on Dove White Cardstock really makes this card colorful. Next by stamping the bold print in Words Of Peace in embossing and watermark ink and heat setting with gold embossing powder we create a wow factor.

Hero Arts MMH February 2024 Countdown

For an unexpected element, I created a hole in the center of the card and folded back the piece to look like a sun burst. Next I grabbed a white card base and centered the colorful panel on top. By doing this, I was able to create a spot to put a peace sentiment in the middle. For just a touch a glam, I added a few sparkle and gold matte gems to the card.

All products I used are listed below for your shopping convenience. Affiliate links have been used at no cost to you. Before I go, let’s chat about giveaways.
