Altenew July 2022 Summer Sunshine Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Let’s get into my card. I used the Altenew Monsteras and Quotes Stamp Set, Monsteras and Quotes Simple Coloring Stencil and the Altenew Monsteras and Quotes Die Set. I love very graphic leaves and this stamp set has just that AND fantastic sentiment to go along with it.

I kept my card very clean and simple. Lots of white space along with black and white polka dot washi tape to frame out the sentiment panel. Stamping the leaves in Altenew Black ink and then using the stencil with Altenew Bamboo and Altenew Grass Fields inks really makes the leaves pop. Using the coordinating the dies helps to trim them out nicely.

The cleanness of just the three colors of black, white and green truly makes this card a stunner.

My first card is featuring the new Freesia Die, Freesia Hot Foil Plate and coordinating Freesia Coloring Stencil. These coordinating products helped me create the beautiful card you see below.

I really enjoy working with products that make creating cards easy. When purchasing the Freesia Hot Foil/Die/Stencil bundle you have everything you need to start creating.

Add in a simple background element like the Altenew Scallops Cover Plate and a quick sentiment from the Altenew Bold Sentiments stamp set and your card is complete.

My next card is featuring the new Altenew Exquisite Marble Hot Foil Plate. My word this makes on gorgeous card. I used brown foil and the beautiful Altenew Brushed Rose Metallic Cardstock to create this background.

To be honest, the photo does not give this card justice.

Adding a simple thanks die and a few coordinating sequins and this card was ready for the mail.

Altenew June 2022 Today is the Day Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Welcome to the Altenew June 2022 Today is the Day Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway. You should have arrived here from Natalie’s blog. Let’s get into the hop.

My card today is featuring the new Altenew Climbing Leaves stamp set and coordinating Climbing Leaves die. Creating my card was so much fun. Using white cardstock, I blended on a base color of Altenew Bamboo ink to create a gorgeous green backdrop for my leaves. Next I stamped the Climbing Leaves stamp set in Altenew Parrot ink.

Using the coordinating die I die cut out the leaves. For a pop of color behind the die, I used the Altenew two pieces of Rouge card stock from the Red Sunset Gradient Cardstock set. Using Altenew Rouge ink I stamped out a few sentiments from the Altenew Bold Sentiments stamp set. These sentiments were popped up on the top of the card. Next the card panel was placed onto a white card base measuring 6×6.

My next card was created using a sentiment from the Climbing Leaves stamp set and the Altenew Linked Ovals Embossing Folder. A bright yellow really allowed the embossing folder to create a beautiful border for the sentiment.

When using embossing folders, stretch your design by cutting the design in half so a sentiment will fit nicely in between. A few yellow gems finished off this card.

For my last card I used the Altenew Sentimental Florals stamp set and coordinating Sentimental Florals stencil and dies. I have to say this card is absolutely my favorite. Keeping the card clean and simple but with a graphic layout really makes this card a winner. Pulling colors from the flowers, I added a graphic element by splitting the background with pink and black cardstock.

A soft purple was blended in the center of the flowers to keep the color palette working. A simple sentiment heat embossed in white onto black cardstock kept the card simple. For added interest, a few white pearls were added to complete the card design.

My anniversary card for the Altenew hop was created using the Paint-A-Flower Sweet Pea stamp set. This stamp is so precious and easy to color. The sweet pea holds the symbolic meaning of blissful pleasure. Its upright, clumping flower clusters also symbolize good wishes, friendship, kindness, and goodbyes. It’s such a beautiful flower to gift someone who might be moving away or as a gift of new friendship. A simple watercolor was with the Altenew Woodless Watercolor Pencils made coloring this flower so easy.

A simple sentiment offset from the sweet pea keeps the card simple and elegant. With a light splatter of gray watercolor creating just a little texture.

Clean and simple with just a hint of color from the pencils and this card was almost complete. To finish off the card I trimmed down the white panel so I could have a midtone gray card stock peek behind the panel before I placed it on a white card base.

Altenew Celebrating Parents Card Drive Blog Hop + Giveaway 2022

Welcome to the Altenew Celebrating Parents Card Drive Blog Hop + Giveaway 2022! I’m so excited to be a part of this hop. You should have arrived here from Amy’s blog. If you missed the start of the hop you can start at the Altenew Card Blog. The goal of today’s hop is to send cards for the elderly that lives in nursing homes or shelters to let them know they’re not forgotten. We encourage you to check out the Celebrating Parents Card Drive and join this great cause by sending in cards.

My card today is featuring the Altenew Here For You stamp set. This is one of my favorite stamp sets from Altenew. The large flower makes so a pretty card. I used Altenew Watercolor Paper and Altenew Watercolor Brushes for my card today. I placed the color of the brush onto my glass mat and used my Altenew Artists Watercolor brushes to paint the image. Happy bright watercolors really make this flower just bloom on a card.

Wanting to have some texture to my card, after I watercolored the image, I ran the panel through my die cutting machine with the Altenew Enchanting Vines 3D embossing folder. What a great way to add texture within my artwork.

Adding in a touch of black to ground my piece, I heat embossed one of the sentiments from the Hero For You stamp set in Altenew White Embossing Powder on black card stock. Remember, if a stamp is all on one line, you can easily cut it about after you heat emboss to scatter your sentiment across your card.
