Altenew March 2024 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in Total Prizes!))

Welcome to the Altenew March 2024 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway! I’m excited you are here today. You can start the hop here at the beginning if you missed anyone along the way.

Let’s get into the cards I made today. For my first card I used the Rustic Rose Stamp and coordinating die. I started the card by first stamping the rose onto watercolor paper. Next I mixed colors from the new Altenew Tube Watercolors to create these beautiful colors for my rose. Mixing watercolors to create a custom color is a wonderful way to expand your color palette.

Once the rose was completely dried, I used the coordinating die to cut it out. Now it was time to work on the background.

Using the same Altenew Cold Press Watercolor Paper, I made this background by mixing blues and grey watercolors together. For added texture I splattered on gold paint before I adhered the rose. For the sentiment, I decided to use the you are the best so this card could be given at any occasion. Finally, I trimmed down the panel and adhered it to a white card base.

Let’s get into the next card. This card is featuring the Paint and Stamp Butterflies from the Altenew March 2024 release. I stamped the images in a very light grey in for a no-line watercolor look. For each butterfly, I carefully painted it in a color and allowed the next color to blend a little into the next one. I love a cool rainbow feel on a card.

Once I was finished painting each butterfly, I splattered the coordinating color above it to give it a whimsical look and added just a touch below each butterfly was well.

A simple sentiment and a black cardbase really finished this card off nicely. Now it’s time for the giveaways.

Altenew December 2023 Inks & Marvelous Monthly Series Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in Total Prizes!))

Welcome to the Altenew December 2023 Inks & Marvelous Monthly Series Blog Hop + Giveaway. You should have arrived here from Therese’s blog. This is such an exciting release with so much to offer.

For my inspiration today I made cards using several of the products in today’s release. First I’m going to start off with a card using the new Glacier Caves inks. I’m still in the holiday mode so pairing these inks with the Joy die was perfect for a holiday card. The outline of the joy is made using the reinkers and shaving cream. Such a cool effect! Staying with the Joy die, I used the Coffee Break inks to makes this pretty little number. I loved pairing this with the Sweater Pattern Builder Stencil Set.

Moving into a more dynamic birthday card. I used the new Dynamic Duo Dainty Roses stencil. Oh this card really has my heart.

Holiday Card Series 2023 – Day 3

Hey everyone! Oh boy today is a good day. The color palette for the Holiday Card Series 2023 – Day 3 is right up there with one of my favorites. It’s so rich in color! And anytime you have some rich black in your cardmaking, you are set!

The first card we have today really focuses on a light and bright background with most of the color being in the center of the card.

Our second card might just be my favorite. I LOVE the striking black on this card with just the pops of color.

And for our last card, color is scattered all over the card. This one is really happy looking.

October 2023 Marvelous Monthly Series Release Video Hop

Hey everyone. Welcome to the October 2023 Marvelous Monthly Series Release Video Hop! I have a tutorial today using products from the Altenew Craft Your Life Project Kit: Nordic Wonderland. I enjoy working with the Craft Your Life Project Kits as it’s jammed packed with coordinating products to make card making a breeze.

In today’s tutorial, I’ve recreated two cards using this month’s kit!

As you can see, this kit works beautifully for birthday cards and cards that need some extra prayers.

Let The Good Times Roll

Hey everyone. I’m sharing a card I made using the new Hero Arts You’re Dynamite Bundle and the Starlight Rays stencil. This stamp set just screams good times from my childhood. So let the good times roll and let’s get into the card.

I colored my images using Altenew Alcohol Markers. Next I used Hero Arts Crimson and Cornflower inks along with the Starlight Rays stencil to create the background. Instead of white cardstock, I used Sand.

I stamped the sentiment in Hero Arts Unicorn White ink and heat embossed it with Hero Arts Detail White Embossing Powder.

I trimmed down the stenciled background and placed it onto a Hero Arts Dove White Card Base. For a little height to my card, foam tapes were put under the colored images. This card really makes me reminisce on my younger days of roller skating on Friday nights.
