Altenew Stampwheel 2.0 Blog Hop and Giveaway

November 13, 2024

Welcome to the Altenew Stampwheel 2.0 blog hop and giveaway. So glad you are here today.

The Stampwheel 2.0 builds on the success of the original Stampwheel with notable upgrades, such as a larger workspace with a detachable side, precision inch scales, and a high-quality photopolymer Sticky Mat.  These enhancements offer increased versatility and accuracy, designed to elevate your crafting experience and unlock new creative possibilities. This tool underscores our commitment to innovation and is crafted to support and inspire your creative endeavors.Altenew Stamp Wheel 2.0

I was able to create two stenciled card panels by using the Stampwheel 2.0. Since I was able to remove the right side of the platform, I used a larger piece of paper and was able to stretch my design.

Altenew Stamp Wheel 2.0

This tool is really a game changer when it comes to making longer designs for you cards. This image is not stamped, it’s a stencil! With the side out of the platform the stencil can shift on the longer cardstock piece.

Altenew October 2024 Release Blog Hop

October 4, 2024

Welcome to the Altenew October 2024 Release blog hop! I’m so excited to have you with me today. I have a few cards to share with you using products from this release. You can see the entire collection here.

For my first card, I used the new Pumpkin Patch Simple Coloring Stencil set with the coordinating Pumpkin Patch 3D Embossing Folder.

Altenew October 2024 Release Blog Hop

To create this card, I stenciled the pumpkin patch simple coloring stencil onto the new Sicilian Amber Cardstock. This cardstock color  is perfect for fall cards. The inks I used were Sunkissed, Orange Cream, Autumn Blaze, Fire Brick, and Hunter Green. All these colors are new from Altenew.

The sentiment for the card came from the Pumpkin Patch Outline stamp set. The stamp said also has coordinating dies, which I used to die cut out the large sentiment. The smaller sentiment was trimmed down with my paper trimmer. In addition, I added some beautiful Citrine Gems using the new Perfect Picker tool.

Now my second I REALLY love how it turned out. For this card I stamped the Pumpkin Patch Outline Stamp Set with Espresso Ink onto Vanilla Cream Cardstock. Gold shimmer spray was applied over the image. This gave the image incredible sparkle.

Once the spray tried, I die cut out the image using an oval die cut. Then I used several fall colored alcohol markers from Altenew to color in the pumpkins making sure to not color every pumpkin. This is such a cool effect.

Now for the background, I used Vanilla Cream Cardstock and ran it through my die cutting machine with the Altenew Woven Basket Embossing Folder. To make the design stand out, I swiped Altenew Sand Dunes and Rocky Shore inks over the embossed area. All that was left was to add the beautiful pumpkins to my woven background and add a sentiment.

Altenew Inked Poppies Press Plates

July 11, 2024

Hey everyone. I’m paying with the Altenew Inked Poppies Press Plates. If you missed my Instagram post about the new Altenew July 2024 Release Video Hop, you can check out my tutorial here. However today I have more cards featuring products from the release.

For these two cards, I used the Inked Poppies Press Plate. I’m sorta new to press plates and I’m hooked now. Yup, take all my money. They are super easy to use and the details you get with these press plates are absolutely gorgeous. Having a few in my stash already and wanting to use them more, when I had a chance to grab these from Altenew I did.

Altenew Poppies Press Plates

With a press plate, it gives the card an engraved feel. All the elements of the image is pressed into the paper. So you can ink up your press plate with any color ink, use your Spellbinder’s die cutting machine (not sure if they work with other machines) and press the image into the paper. You will be wowed with cards made with these plates.

Altenew Inked Poppies Press Plates

I highly recommend the Altenew Inked Poppies Press plates for you next card. You can check out more cards I made using products from Altenew by clicking on this link. All products used for today’s cards are listed below. Products for the tutorial from Tuesday will be listed under the video on Youtube.

Altenew March 2024 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in Total Prizes!))

March 6, 2024

Welcome to the Altenew March 2024 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway! I’m excited you are here today. You can start the hop here at the beginning if you missed anyone along the way.

Let’s get into the cards I made today. For my first card I used the Rustic Rose Stamp and coordinating die. I started the card by first stamping the rose onto watercolor paper. Next I mixed colors from the new Altenew Tube Watercolors to create these beautiful colors for my rose. Mixing watercolors to create a custom color is a wonderful way to expand your color palette.

Once the rose was completely dried,  I used the coordinating die to cut it out. Now it was time to work on the background.

Using the same Altenew Cold Press Watercolor Paper, I made this background by mixing blues and grey watercolors together. For added texture I splattered on gold paint before I adhered the rose. For the sentiment, I decided to use the you are the best so this card could be given at any occasion. Finally, I trimmed down the panel and adhered it to a white card base.

Let’s get into the next card. This card is  featuring the Paint and Stamp Butterflies from the Altenew March 2024 release. I stamped the images in a very light grey in for a no-line watercolor look. For each butterfly, I carefully painted it in a color and allowed the next color to blend a little into the next one. I love a cool rainbow feel on a card.

Once I was finished painting each butterfly, I splattered the coordinating color above it to give it a whimsical look and added just a touch below each butterfly was well.

A simple sentiment and a black cardbase really finished this card off nicely. Now it’s time for the giveaways.

There is $300 in total prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $100 gift certificate to 1 lucky winner and a $50 gift certificate to 4 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop list below by 03/12/2024 for a chance to win.
