Beauty Within Coloring Stencil 3-1

Hey everyone. I’m sharing a quick card today using the Beauty Within Coloring Stencil 3-1. This is such a beautiful stencil and so easy to use. Pulling just a few colors of inks together and you have a beautiful card.

The colors for my card today are from Altenew. They are Rose Quartz, Puffy Hearts, Razzleberry and Honey Drizzle. For the sentiment I used Altenew Moon Rock instead of my typical black ink. I kept my card simple and used just a few yellow sequins on the card panel.

The Beauty Within Coloring Stencil 3-1 really does make some beautiful cards. Again super easy to use and think of the beautiful color combinations you could use. Check out my prior post using the Beauty Within stamp set from yesterday.

To keep the soft feel of my card I grounded my panel on Fog cardstock. The soft gray really keeps the card colorful in a neutral way. Thanks for stopping by today everyone. I’ll see you back here soon.

Altenew – August 2020 Summer Nights Release

Altenew 2020 Summer Nights Release

My card today is featuring the new Beauty Within from the August 2020 Summer Nights release. This stamp set is absolutely gorgeous! I paired it with the newly released With Deepest Sympathy stamp set. For my medium I choose to watercolor the image with Altenew inks and my Karin brush markers.

Altenew - August 2020 Summer Nights Release The background for the card was created using the Doodled Dots Cover plate. I kept my palette all white which allowed the florals to be the main focus. Here are some close up shots of the card. For some added depth, I sponged on some buttercup ink onto the background to add a highlight behind the flowers.

Altenew June 2020 Inspiration Challenge

Hey everyone. Today I’m sharing a card for the Altenew June 2020 Inspiration Challenge. Jaycee is picked a striking yet calm color palette. I wanted to try out florals using brown inks and this was the perfect opportunity to do so.

The Altenew Flowering Cistus was perfect for Altenew June 2020 inspiration challenge as it only has a few layers for each flower. For my color choice I used Lawn Fawn inks in Pizza Crust, Doe and Walnut. These nice shades of browns really played well together.

I really love how this card came out and it was super easy to make. That lovely background paper is from the Recollections Foil 6×6 paper pad. I ran the paper through my Next Level Woven embossing folder. Since I did not achieve an accurate stamp position in the center of the flower, I decided to cover up my error with white blizzard Nuvo Crystal Drops, plus it added a touch of sparkle.

Brea Reese Trio Striped Alcohol Ink Background Card

Hey peeps. I’m back today sharing a Brea Reese trio striped alcohol ink background card. Totally in love with these inks. If you missed the first card I made using these inks you can check them out here. These inks work beautifully on yupo, legend papers and Brea Reese waterproof paper. Let me show you the card I have for you today.

To create this card I used a three colors from Brea Reese. I used orange, turquoise and medium magenta. I applied some inks on a mini blending tool in a stripe pattern. Next I dragged the tool across the Brea Reese waterproof paper to create my stripes. Look how vibrant the colors appear on this paper. It’s stunning.

I paired this gorgeous ink background with a sparkly sentiment. I pulled out my Altenew Bold Alphabet dies and glitter paper from DCWV. For added dimension I die cut the sentiment several times and glued them all together. This makes for a thicker embellishment. I layered the alcohol ink background onto bright orange card stock and then onto a white card base. For some added sparkle I used a few of my Lucy’s Card iridescent jewels. I absolutely LOVE how this card turned out.

The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge – Let’s Color

Hey peeps. I’m sharing a card I colored for the Daily Marker 30 Day Color Challenge. The challenge is hosted by the incredible Kathy Racoosin the owner of The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge. During this challenge you allow yourself a little bit of time each day to color. We never “judge” how you color but support you in how you gave yourself the time to color even if it’s just for 10 minutes a day. Coloring allows me to refocus my energy into creating something I love.

For today’s card I used Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Flowers 2 along with the Altenew Sincere Greetings stamp set. I think the gorgeous flowers and dainty sentiment work well together. I used my Faber Castell Polychromo pencils to color this image. Here are the colors I used:

Flowers I used 130, 131, 132, 185 and 101.
Leaves I used 165, 172, 278 and 101.
Background 271 and 272.

Adding white little dots with my gelly roll pen to add some interest to the background as well. This helped to keep my card clean and simple without any additional bulk.

To finish off my card I pulled out some older Stampin Up paper in hunter green to layer this panel on and adhered it to a white card base. I used the same card stock to stamp out the greeting in versamark and heat set it with arctic white embossing powder for Ink On 3. That will wrap up my card for today.
