Hey everyone. I’m so excited to be a part of the Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember celebration. This is Simon Says Stamp 15th stamp timber and like always it is amazing. There are so many products in this release that I know you will fall in love with.
For my projects today, I am using the new Big Holiday Words stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. This stamp said has so many great sentiments for your holiday cards and more. Let’s look into what I created today.
I am in need of making some holiday gift tags for the upcoming holiday season and this was the perfect opportunity to use these large sentiments. To start off, I die cut out several star shapes using my Infinity Star Diecuts from Hero Arts. Since I know I will need different sizes. I used one larger size and one smaller size die. Now it was time to add color.
Using my blending brushes, I lightly blended the largest die cut with Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated ink in Sangria using more ink towards one side and fading it out as it went across the star. For my next star, I used Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated ink in Sage and repeated the same blending technique.
Once my ink blending was complete, I can both images through my die cutting machine using the Simon Says Stamp Filament Snowflakes Embossing Folder. To create a really cool look, I only embossed half of the star. This really can make the difference when you are creating. After the embossing was complete. I stamped a sentiment from the Big Holiday Wishes on each of the stars using black ink.
Next, I used a small hole punch to add an opening for my gold thread. And to finish off the card, I add a few gold star embellishments.
I absolutely LOVE how these tags came out and will definitely be creating more. If you would like to get more inspiration using Simon Says Stamp products, click here.
