Hey everyone. I can’t believe that 2021 is already over and we are starting a new year. The Hero Arts My Monthly Hero January 2022 is a perfect kickoff for a very unique kit! You should have arrived here from Channin’s blog. For my card today I have a quick tutorial sharing how to make a sweet moon-lit silhouette card. But first here is a look a the kit.
The kit includes the following
• 6″ x 8″ Clear Stamp Set
• 3 Coordinating Frame Cuts
• 4.25″ x 5.5″ Fancy Cover Plate Die
• 1 Key Fancy Die
• 4 Ink Cubes (Key Lime Fizz, Taffy, Green Apple, Cup O’ Joe)
• Red Iridescent Gems
Kit Value: $80
Kit Cost: $34.99
Pre-order your kit today – we estimate kit shipping will begin Friday, January 14th and continue throughout the following week.
This card came together rather quickly using just the stamp set from this month’s kit. Within the kit there are layering stamps that create a beautiful tree branch with stunning leaves. However for my card I just used black inks to achieve this moonlit scene.
By using two types of black ink, I was able to create some depth in the image. Also by adding just a touch a navy the moon looks even brighter.
Below is the tutorial for the card. You can also watch it over on my Youtube channel mzdanajoy. There are affiliate links used at no cost to you.
We will give away a $50 gift card, drawn from the comments left across the hop. Enter by Sunday, January 16th at 11:59pm Pacific, and the winner will be announced on the Hero Arts blog the following week. Next on the hop is Daniel. I hope you enjoyed your visit today and I’ll see you back here soon.
