Altenew – Paint A Flower Calla Lily

August 22, 2020

Hey everyone.  I’m participating in the Altenew – Paint A Flower Calla Lily blog hop today.  You should of gotten here from Erum’s blog. The Paint A Flower Calla Lily is absolutely stunning and creates beautiful cards.  Let me share what I’ve created.

For my first card I pulled out my Karin brush markers to watercolor the flowers.  I used a color combination of yellow, pink and green.  It really makes the flower pop.  When I stamped the image I used versa mark and gold embossing powder.  This added just a bit of glam to my card.

Altenew Paint A Flower Calla Lilly

For texture I added on some splatter with metallic gold watercolor and some of the pink.  I pulled out my vintage nuvo drops to add in some green to this card panel.

Paint A Flower Calla Lily

Once the panel was dried I layered it onto pink card stock and adhered it to a white card base.  All that was left was to stamp a sentiment from the stamp set.

Paint A Flower Calla Lily

Once my first card was complete, I started working on my second card. For this card I used Copic Markers instead of watercolor.  I repeatedly stamped the image towards the bottom of my panel and did some no-line coloring.  For added texture I used my color pencils for detail work.

Paint-A-Flower Monthly Subscription Plan is a monthly subscription plan for our Paint-A-Flower. When signed up, you are guaranteed a spot in our monthly Paint-A-Flower releases and will receive a set each month – at a specially discounted price! ($15.99 →$12.99)

Keeping this card really simple, I added a sentiment and a few crystal sequins.  I layered this panel onto black cardstock and then onto a white card base.

Morning everyone. I'm on the @heroarts blog today Morning everyone. I'm on the @heroarts blog today sharing two bookmarks I made using products from the new Mix Media release. These bookmarks were so easy to create and I love the colorful style of them.

I truly hope we are inspiring you with our projects using the items from the release. I remember a time I used to be scared to do mix media. Now it's so easy for me to create without fear. Mix media is just using more than one medium on your projects and I've been doing that forever. LOL
